It’s a lie, that’s all anyone can comprehend truly…if there is one thing true in this world is that the reality of it is sickening and cold depraved of anything more than facades and greed.

She had to run…run as fast and as far as she possibly could, she couldn’t take it anymore, but no matter where she ran she found more of the same empty lies and the falsities of mankind. She kept running, she had no choice, all the voices in her head were running backwards like a record being turned the wrong way but they all said “Keep running”.

She finally stopped running as she came a cross the end of her world, a cliff over looking the long never ending ocean the waves crashing down below her. She looked afraid, panicked like a trapped animal, fearing that everything she left behind her would soon come to claim her once again.

Slowly, she turned her sad tired eyes upward toward the large ball in the night sky gently glowing down upon her and at that moment…nothing mattered. In that simple moment in the most simple of places…it all vanished the lies the greed the hate all of it…gone.

It was just her and that perfect glowing orb in the sky, slowly she reached up her hand reaching out with an expression of salvation on her face there she could be free, there none of the petty misgivings of man were meaningless. A place where one could find peace within and appreciate the true inner beauty of ones self.

She felt as if she were floating away all the flaws and labels forced upon her by the eyes of  others melting away as she drifted ever higher her outstretched hand still reaching for the ball in the sky.

A smile spread over her face as the tears of panic and fear, were replaced with those of joy the feelings of guilt and anger erased by the warm embrace of elation. Finally she was free…there was no need to run anymore. No need to run
