AHH... IT'S GOOD TO RELAX
WARNING: THIS WILL BE A LONG POST. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ A LONG POST, THEN READ SOMETHING ELSE, RIGHT NOW.
Well, I've been pretty much up to nothing new for the past week... Well, nothing great, anyway. I just changed the song, again. Man, I just heard this beat, and I automatically fell in love with it. I've never heard of this song before today. Zion I made this song, and it's called "Inner Light". It's dope!
A lot of thought has been going into school and my gaming, lately. My cousin was asking me about my "love life", the other day. All I could tell her is that nothing has been going on. Funny how she took that as a shock, but as I tell everyone, I don't got game. heh
I mean, I hear all the same stuff about "You'll find someone, Dio." I guess I find myself not taking my own advice. I do love being single and happy with me being able to make my own choices about who I want to be with, but it doesn't seem to work out when I want to be with a certain someone... especially with Liz. It seems that when I call her, she doesn't return my calls, and it always seems that she doesn't care to hang out with me, anymore. I have a feeling she found some other dude to focus on. I think that's really good and all, but I guess it makes me feel like she just used me for some company during her "lonely times", and when she found some other guy, she just decides to kick me off, I guess. I know she cares for me so much, but I guess in the end, I'm just a friend. heh... Oh well, now that there is no other girl on my mind at this time, I might as well just forget about "dating" for a while. :-P
Anyway, the cousin I mentioned earlier is the one that I haven't seen for like 10 years. She use to live here and we were really close, but she ended up moving to Portland because she didn't want to go to school in Sacramento where her mom (my aunt) moved to. She seems to be doing pretty well for herself. She is still going to school and working. She moved down south to San Diego and is in a dance group (I think). I always knew she loved to dance, but I didn't think she would take it to a career level... But I'm just glad she is doing her own thing. She was up here a couple weeks ago, but she couldn't come out because she was kinda stuck in Sacramento with her mom. I would have gone up there, but I didn't have the funds to go. Gas can be a bitch, y'know? :-P
Me and my other cousin, Gelson, talked about actually taking a trip down south to Diego to visit her. Since I was going to do that anyway, I might as well as him to come along that way we can both visit her at the same time. I also wanted to visit my other aunt down there, anyway. So it's a good idea.
So I've been playing The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, lately. OMG! This game is SO much fun. It was nice to get back into gaming and just losing myself in the story. At least it's a story that is not about me... I mean, I could really use time away from my life, right about now. heh
Anyway, this game is freakin awesome! I love the speed of it, and the vast worlds you can see out of it. I was one to be against cel-shading, but I realize that this form of graphics really speeds up the process of the engine. It really makes the game move really fast. That's awesome! :-)
ART UPDATE! Yeah, I did new art. I put it up on my DeviantART porfolio. The new one is a design for a deck of cards.

I think it's a good design. Each symbol has a historical meaning reflecting cards.
I also ended up finding a friend's porfolio page on DeviantART and I messaged her about it. Her name is Jen and I know her through RPGFan.com Message Boards (whic is the very first online community I joined since being on the internet). I've always had her SN on AIM, but I never bothered to IM her until just recently. We talked about a lot of stuff like Clubbin, RPGFan, school and just life, but more about her artwork and stuff. She doesn't have any Deviantions (Artwork Submissions) on the site, but she did look at a lot of art and pick out favorites. It's funny cuz she messaged me a comment on one of my journal entries on DeviantART, trying to make me feel better since I was a little concerned no one commented on my artwork submissions... That was thoughtful of her. :-) I wasn't just looking for good comments, but any comments. That would help me learn what's good to do or not.
Jen and another fellow RPGFan member, Kiem aka Tim colaborated on a piece of artwork that is like a character card for one of Tim's Lore Characters.
I think this is pretty damn good. That really inspired me to do a Character Card of myself. I'm gonna make myself a powerful character, too. hehe ;-)
This past weekend, I was getting sick, but I ended up fighting it off and feeling better. I wasn't planning to go out this past weekend, but I just went to the MILK Lounge to see my cousin and his group, Mind Complex, perform.
As usual, MILK was crowded... But a good thing, since my cousin was performing that night. At least enough people will see his act.
My cousin, Mario, is in the middle with the green "Nicaragua" shirt. The other MC is my our friend, John and the DJ D-Dot aka Dario.
Various Blends was also performing. The guy in the group (with the hand in the air) is Frank, and apparently he is helping with Mind Complex's album production. So I guess he's the guy that's getting them the gigs. Hopefully, Mind Complex will get to play at Mission Rock. That is a real big venue that usually caters to Hip Hop heads, anyway... But that's if they really want a big venue.
Nevertheless, I'm very proud of Mario and John. They are really doing their thing on the mic and writing some good songs. Hopefully he goes as far as he wants to.
Anyway, with all the problems I've been going through, I think I realize that things will eventually be okay. Hopefully I can hang through all the struggles. Well, I know I'm strong. I can make it.
