Hah! Ganked that icon from wrongly_amused, because it was so super-awesome. ^_^

Why Motormaster/Silverbolt? Um. Well, there's a nice symmetry with them both being gestalt commanders of gestalts designed to kill each other. Well, technically, the Stunticons are designed to kill Autobots, while the Aerialbots are designed to kill Stunticons, but it works out just as well if they're build-rivals. So I drew on that mirroring as the basis for them making a semi-decent relationship. If Motormaster actually had a reason to behave, and Silverbolt was out of his mind.

That, however, was justification I did later on.

What started it: Motormaster is a sadistic asshole. He likes finding where it hurts and then twisting. Naturally, finding out Silverbolt is scared of heights should lead to a lot of abuses of that, especially since Motormaster can fly.

Silverbolt, on the other hand, has a strong tendency to lead his Aerialbots through manipulation. He reacts to Slingshot saying "we're better than the Autobots!" in 'Key to Vector Sigma' by saying, "So why don't we take over?" solely so he can get them back to base and show them why they need the Autobots. If this continues in bed, I can definitely see him as the type to top from the bottom.

So, really, it started with the mental image of Motormaster hauling Silverbolt into the sky to snog in order to mess with him, and Silverbolt going along with it to throw Motormaster off balance and get out of the truck's grasp.
