Holy hell.
Tonight was such an adventure.
We got to the show in the middle of the Himsa set. Security is insane. They threw out my tylenol and sleeping pill because they 'weren't marked'. They left my Tums though, after acting like I had a stash of drugs. The only thing I have is heartburn and migranes. Sheeeesh.
Himsa = great, as usual.
Arch Enemy = Alright. The singer is too stiff onstage though. She needs to move her arms or something...
Bleeding Through = I don't like them, and I'm not afraid to say that I think they suck. I'm tired of all these kids saying they love metal, and listening to Bleeding Through or Atreyu. Neither of those bands are, or ever were, metal. And what's with the crowd surfing? That is a product of car commercials and Green Day fans. You embarrass me.
Cradle Of Filth = ...I haven't been so excited about a set in so long. I know it's been well over a year. I've never seen them live before, and let me tell you...well, I really can't, because they are so incredible, I can't even explain it. Dani Filth is so tiny. There is nothing more I love than a short pale guy with long black hair and a big ass, trotting around in vinyl pants and fishnet, screaming like a girl.
Note to venue: Get more security people, so kids don't have to wait in line while the bands play, so someone can dig through their belongings. Don't start the sets so early. Don't let people smoke, so I don't have to walk out smelling like a sailor. Don't let so many assholes, or bad dressers in...
