Getting colder
As it gets chillier here, I decided it was time to bow to the inevitable and change my bed from its summer clothes to its winter clothes.

I just bought the new duvet cover and I quite like the way it looks with the pillow shams (which I made from IKEA shower curtain, to match my curtains, which of course are also an IKEA shower curtain.) I liked the old duvet cover, but it didn't go well with the curtains. Man, when did I start worrying about these things?
Of course, I was too hot last night under the duvet. But it's only getting colder from here on out.
Misty says, "Where am I going, and why am I in a handbasket?"
Actually, the reason she's in the handbasket is that Stormy is in Misty's spot... the top of the bookcase. Misty jumped up, found her usual spot already full of sister, crawled over Stormy, jumped off the far side, and landed in the basket.
I really enjoyed making the basket (in a basket-making class at my local yarn store) and would like to do more basket-making. In my copious spare time, of course.
