Sounds like Ames could use another pet-sitting service. Too bad you're not in the market for a second career. You can give some thought to some kind of gift to give your friend-petsitters. That would be one way to feel better about asking them to petsit. Maybe a gift certificate to a restaurant they would like.

As to the ethical question, just keep the box and the receipt they gave you and the next time you go in for vet services, mention it to them. I think that would be sufficient.

Does Advantage Multi also do heartworm? I may have to look into this.

That's what the package says, at any rate.

Looking at prices online, I'm not sure it's actually all that much cheaper than Revolution, though, despite what the vet said.

And there was great confusion all around. I would have just gotten Revolution, but it requires a prescription (so does Advantage Multi) and my new vet doesn't carry it.

:-( We had that problem with Scout's flea meds, the vet stopped carrying K-9 Advantix and started carrying Frontline, and it was nowhere near as good.

There's always 1800petmeds.com at least ...

My brother usually has a graduate student come by to feed and water his cats when he's away, and gets them gift certificates as a thank you. My parents use the teenage daughter of a neighbor, whom they pay.
