Energy efficiency FAIL.
According to the thermostat on the wall in my office (the inside wall, so the warmest part of the room, but still) it's 80 in my office.
Given that I'm dressed for the actual weather (currently sunny, 4 degrees F) rather than freaking June, 80 degrees is a little excessive.
I have in fact cracked my office window to cool things off a bit. (I was going to take my sweater off, but I'm wearing a silk long john undershirt under it... not really decent.)
The university has sent around an email saying that budget cuts will be bigger than expected and asking employees to look for ways to save the university money.
Er... I have a few suggestions.
(How much do you want to bet that in the summer it will in the 60s in here and I'll need to bring in a space heater? Any takers?)
