Am I insane that I am semi-seriously contemplating driving to Virginia (~3 hr drive according to the IKEA website) to go to an IKEA because I want bits for my shelving system that are not for sale over the Internet?
(I mean, not tonight, of course. They're not open at 10:30 on Sunday night. Also, all the parts I want are not in stock.)
In other news:
cifarelli had a baby!
I was a good girl and went to the doctor's on Friday: physical, pap, the whole nine yards. The physican's assistant told me to wear a wrist brace when computing and knitting and sleeping and take lots of Advil and see if that makes my hand feel better. If not, we'll try something else. It turns out its terribly uncomforable to wear the wrist brace while typing. I think I may need a better wrist brace. I also bought an elbow-support wrap thing that will keep me from bendng that elbow sharply when sleeping. I think it's just as well I'm single. Having my right arm all braced up is terribly unromantic.
My parent's cat Maverick had apparently taken to knocking pens and silverware off of tables, countertops, and other raised surfaces.
I tried taking Stormy out on a harness this afternoon. Apparently the cats didn't read the tag on the harness that says, "One size fits all cats" since they have merrily proceeded to outgrow them. I sense a trip to Petsmart in the future.
What's more interesting than wet cat food? Watching your person adjust the back of her computer chair. (I don't think they knew it moved. Or fell off. That I swear when frustrated, that they already knew.)
As an aside, the cat's favorite flavor of Wellness was chicken until I stocked up on the chicken. Then their favorite flavor was beef & chicken, until I stocked up on the beef & chicken. Now they like chicken again. They're sure lucky they're cute.
I'm playing in the chime choir at church until their next performance just after Easter! (However, I keep staying up WAY too late on Saturday night and oversleeping and missing church. Given that the service is at 11:15, that's an impressive feat.)
I dyed sock yarn. I also dyed a thrift-store sweater, but I'm not so proud of that one. I currently have a knitting project on size 0 needles and another knitting project on size 19 needles. I find this unreasonably amusing.
I've been called up for jury duty. In Jefferson County, Colorado. I assume I'm meant to send back the bit of the form where I argue I'm disqualified on the grounds of no longer being a resident of the county that's calling me up.
I finished Rome Season 1 on DVD and am hitting my Dad up to tape Season 2 from HBO on demand for me because I'm very anxious to find out what happens next. (I mean, I know what happens in general, what specifically happens next.)
Hmm. I wonder what they want? (Apparently not the Wellness beef & chicken.)
