August the 28th back in 1953 was the day that Japan's first TV Broadcast took place.

August the 28th back in 1994 was the day that Japan had its first Gay Pride March (but this actually has nothing to do with anything else)

August the 28th in 2005 has been designated at TV Commercial Day as some powers that be wish to highlight the benefits of TV advertising to viewers.

Some big guy in a suit has said that if we record a show on TV and then play it back fast-forwarding through the commercials we may be violating the copyright laws. He's a bit out of it and making random statements.

So...if you're interested in supporting (i'm not) then watch your commercials on August the 28th this year as it is "TV COMMERCIAL DAY"...

[To you Aussies reading this I can just imagine that if this was taking place back in Australia then one of the Daddos or maybe ever Kerry-Ann Kennerly would be hosting some special historical look at commercials through the ages, hey?]
