I think SMAP's trying to separate themselves. I also notice their absence on countdown shows...do they even guest in JE-favorites like HeyHeyHey.....?
i couldn't care much for KAT-TUN either (*looks around for impending danger*) but oh well....tee-hee! i'm so mean.

Yeahhh, it's almost as though the group recognizes the fact that they cannot sing -- I've heard them singing in 24-hr TV, and one or two other shows; people think Jun is bad, they haven't heard SMAP XD;; -- and are just focusing on what they're good at. Like acting or variety show hosting. I know they show up in Utaban (of course XD) but not sure about HeyHeyHey...
*l-lol* The junior groups in general don't pique my interest as much too. For KAT-TUN, I've seen some videos of them on HeyHeyHey, and even a 20 minute video of Bakanishi-ness, and it's still kind of, oh okay. Cute, but, that's about it. XD; The "car shrimp" is funny though. *grin*

Haha! Not all of them are bad, i mean one or two can carry a tune, and they simply sometimes get lucky they are given quite decent songs to sing....but i guess the disparity between their and other JE groups' vocal prowess would be more pronounced if they're in one show together. and I guess KimuTaku's popularity helps them loads, too. The only guestings I've seen them in so far was Utaban....or some other yearend shows where THEY DON'T SING. Oh and Music Station, but all artists promoting something goes there, so....
I'm just checking out NEWS because some of their songs are good, and Tegoshi's voice is W-O-W. (couldn't really care much for YamaPi, although I think Ryo's a good actor). And as for Kanjani8, i watch them simply for the laughs. I haven't even downloaded a single PV or performance of theirs so far.
