Where did July go?
House-hunting with Katrin and Claire is in full swing. We applied for a house off Westgate (it's literally behind the central market) today after no such luck with other houses. It's a 3/2, $900 a month with a big backyard and a driveway/carport 3 miles away from SEU, sweet action! Swinging the San Francisco trip and moving into a place in the same month might be a bit rough, luckily I've been extremely diligent with saving my money these past few months and have accumulated more than enough to get by. If we get the house, we move in August 15, me probably a bit later as I don't get back from SF until the 17th or 18th. Then school will start on the 24th, I can't believe it's coming so soon. BUSY BUSY BUSY! Anyone who sees me his month should consider themselves fortunate.
What else has happened? A lot. I've been having so much fun with family and friends it's all just a blur. Barton springs and bouldin creek are my homes-away-from-home, as is the bakery of course, which I still love. Best. Job. EVER. Jennifer traded me her fisheye camera for my Rebel this week, so I've been having lots of fun with the fisheye and pine for a fisheye lens I could use with my Rebel.. but to no avail. Too expensive!
I can't wait for SF and house and traipsing about south austin again. Lakeway just doesn't feel like home anymore. I miss being a SoCo mofo (yeah, I just said that.)
