Craigslist ticket-getting was a success! Only because it turned out to be Richard, Stephen's older brother. I love crazy coincidences. Now Esther and I are a go go for Gaga, I'm really excited! After ticket-getting and dropping Richard off at his parents' place I hung out at home for a few hours to unwind, then met Erin and her roommates at the movies to see Wolverine, which was actually really good (but not very accurate, as movies always are.) There were some amazing action scenes, and of course, Hugh Jackman didn't hurt either.
Saturday I worked my long 8-4 at the bakery, came home and changed clothes, then went straight over to Antoni's house for grilling. Antoni's dad owns the liquor store right by the bakery so he comes in there all the time, and since we invited him to our potluck a few weeks ago he decided to invite us to a party at his house- which is absolutely beautiful and on Lake Austin, but I digress. Had a great time geeking out with my co-workers, swimming, and nighttime boating.. actually, the most fun I've had in a while. I'm so relieved summer is almost here so I can start hanging out with people until the wee hours of the night more often. We all departed around a bit after 1, I got home right at 2 and snuggled up with Gia, and "slept in" today until 8:30. I don't think I'm physically capable of sleeping past nine anymore, it seems early college classes have changed me forever. It's good that I woke up, though, because today is my Mom's 49th birthday! :) I'm taking her to brunch with my aunt Nancy and then going to get her present... somewhere. I don't really know yet. Maybe a giftcard to Whole Foods is in order. She loves Whole Foods like nobody's business.
