I had a "durrr" moment in the wee hours of the morning, after I finished a chat with Kody. Neither Kodikkun nor Dusty invoke that awful, "AHH IT'S A BOY! BOY BRAINS! AHH! *traumatrauma* EHH? O__O;; *twitchtwitch* Why are you talking to me?!"...reaction. I was thinking that I kind of considered him almost a girl, you know? It smacked me in the ( Read more... )

oh wow. I never really thought about it I guess...well, I've never thought of Kody as very "manly" and I guess that made it a lot easier to talk to him. In general I think I'm getting a little better at talking to the opposite sex about things. But still--they don't seem to be able to handle emotions as well as girls can..like they are a little uneasy about the whole thing.

I definitely think you have a point though. And I think it's natural to be able to talk to girls more easily...I think with a lot of things we are more on the same level and can relate. idk...

Well, we've never seen it, how can we be sure it's there?

well, I don't see you as girly...but manly, no. Then again, I don't really consider any of my guy friends manly...well, except one. ^_^; But if you were "manly" I don't think I would have probably never really gotten along with you that well.

And Keri has a point, we've never seen it..so we can't really know for sure. XD

^^; Well, I think about it, because I only have two male real friends, and they're both...a bit less than manly. In fact...I haven't had a real guyish-male friend since...First grade? XD; I'm trying to think... In fourth grade I had a friend named Jose, but we used to draw Sailor Moon characters and memorized the "Scrub" song together...So...? ^_^;;

I'm trying to get better, but at the same time I'd rather be left alone...? I dunno. I was just sort of thinking that once I get to know a person, the gender is irrelevant, and what is, is because of circumstances...? >>; I dunno...

Yeah, I would think most guys don't handle emotions too great... >>; Gender roles dictating that guys have only enough emotion to fill a teaspoon, and the powers that be forbid they feel any more than that... *shrug*

Yeah... well, I think it's harder to have guy friends if you actually do view them as "manly" or whatever...Cause it's almost a different classification than just friends.

I don't know...it makes sense in my head. And as for guys not being good with emotions...I guess it's good. Seeing as women have so many of them I guess it's nice to occasionally have someone who kind of just...doesn't get involved. Like they're there for mental suppport sometimes...but that's usually about it it seems.

^^ That's...not quite what I meant. I can't really define it...?

I suppose, when it comes to drama between friends, it's good for some to be impartial, you know? ^^;;
