Thoughts on Salesmanship

So, I've just gotten a job as a salesperson. I've never done sales before. I'm working for a great company, wonderful atmosphere, treat their employees like family, the product is fantastic, they've been in business 20 years and are really into integrity, which is great. I totally understand your feelings on salesmanship, and agree that it's confusing. I think there is definitely good salesmanship, and slimy icky salesmanship. Glad the job is going well. :-)

Yeah, well I'd say where I'm at is good salesmanship. Honesty and integrity and making the customer's life better are big parts of what the company is about.

I suppose that if I choose to live here, and to have a job to make money and support myself, I wind up supporting the free enterprise system anyway. I guess I've just never felt that I've done so this directly. And I'm really not sure how I feel about capitalism in general.
