UNGHUNGH I do not want to go to bed. I know I sound like a whiny child, but unghungh. However, it's already 12:40 and if mom wakes up and hears me typing she will be NOT PLEASED. So. (I am going to continue posting anyway?)
Uploaded all my videos from the Rajaton concert onto facebook today... oh man, I love that group like (there's) no tomorrow. Also, I'm making progress on the ShatnerKirk icon. I have a couple versions that I think are decent, but the smallest is 185 KB and LJ only lets you do 40 KB so... things must happen. To change that. I think I may have to re-save all the frames as JPEG instead of PNG but I don't actually know if that will change things... and the free gif-animating program I DL'd doesn't have variable quality save settings.
My Chinese medicine doctor told me to apply at McDonald's. Cause right now anything would be better than nothing. And they have good employee benefits or something. I can't figure out if I'm too picky about where I apply or I'm just not applying diligently enough or to enough places or often enough or being personable enough in interviews or what. Could be the economy, I suppose. Facts:
-The coffee shop where I had an interview on Friday is most likely not going to hire me because I don't drink coffee.
-I've pretty much given up on waitressing because I find it so stressful, even though the money is good.
-I applied at a bunch of health food stores and coffee shops and never heard back from all but one.
-I applied at the Curves that I go to and they hired someone else.
-My Chinese medicine doctor has told me to apply at McDonald's and/or Tim Horton's and/or coffee shops but not at Wendy's (bad energy) or Save-On-Foods (not hiring, apparently). She made me ask my body and muscle-tested me for it. *shrugs* So I guess I should go apply at McDonald's. It would get me over my fear of menial jobs, anyway.
-I have no idea if I'm just not seeing places that would be good to apply to because I'm not used to thinking of working in them or not.
-Shaw, the local cable/internet/wireless provider, pays very very well and has great benefits for employees who do technical support and customer service. I know several people who work there. I don't know if I could stand having another phone job, though.
This is my conclusion: I JUST DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS BEST. I GUESS I SHOULD JUST GO APPLY EVERYWHERE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
