JUST FINISHED READING MY FLIST FROM THE LAST WEEK. *passes out*
I dunno, I think it's the completionist in me (is that even a word?) but I had to at least scan EVERYTHING on the list. That is a lot of sustained attention, right there. Plus I had just gone through all my DA notifications and a bunch of facebook messages.
Anyway, the relatives have come and gone, and it was lovely, and chaotic, and fun. Two seven-year-olds is not a situation I would like to have for any length of time. I... may have to deal with that eventually, as twins run in the family. However, there is a comfortable space of years yet before I have to think about it. We went all over doing tourist-y things and our bathroom spent most of the time looking like it had been ransacked. I took 530 pictures. This is not surprising.
I haven't even looked at
ontd_startrek yet. Not sure if I have the energy right now. I sure as heck won't be trying to play catch up, though I'm always sad when I miss things. Heh, one of my friends found a Star Trek novel at her work and gave it to me. Not sure if I'll read it, as I do prefer my Star Trek in televisual/movie form. Just watched "Arena" (from TOS season 1) tonight; it was easily the worst Star Trek episode I've ever seen. I had to keep pausing it so that I could exclaim in disbelief at what I had just seen. Also, the library's DVD has the sound out of synch, so that's supremely frustrating.
Anyway,
Rajaton on Sunday! I'm only just organizing travel/overnight stuff now as the relatives are gone. I seem to be the one in our group who does this; I don't really mind. Should be great as always, and fun BCYC meet-up tiems as well!
