Saw "Donnie Darko" finally. I mean, I downloaded it over a week ago and never got around to watching it...
Damn good movie. I'd recommend it to anybody.

What was weird, though, was that Gary Jules's "Mad World" was at the end of the movie, and like, WTF, I have that in my iTunes library even though I used to not have a clue where it came from.

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places
Worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going no where
Going no where
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression
No expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow
No tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
These dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world
Mad world
(first verse)

Anyway. Yeah, whatever.
I totally have to get my ass in gear. I have 1 book project-like thing (have to read Candide, and then make notes all through the book, and I get graded on those notes in the book), 1 2-week overdue DBQ on the French Revolution, and the first 3 pages of a research paper due wednesday, a 100 or nothing grade.
And I haven't started any of them.
Thank God for MLK. He might have just saved my ass.
And I don't have any research materials for the research paper, btw. Only an online copy of the Malleus Maleficarum (a popular witch-hunting book, the second most read book next to the Bible a few centuries ago), and whatever else I dig up. And I need to hit the library. It'll be the first time ever.
Shipping companies are being bitchy. I still don't have the MLA book shipped yet, and I still haven't yet ordered the "Religion and the Decline of Magic" book.

Anyway.
Oh, yeah, and I started listening to "Mad World" again, and once that song was over, "Beautiful" by Gazette started playing.
0.o Quite a difference.
Though, for some reason, it seems like it'd fit parts of the movie (can anybody say Frank?).
Anyway.
Yeah, um, fyi, that's like, jumping from, well, Mad world, to like, Marilyn Manson, almost. Only... noisier... I guess.

The most wicked scene in the movie (well, one of them)... donnie and Frank in the bathroom, and Donnie's got a kitchen knife, and he's trying to get through that thing...
that was totally sweet. Anyway.

Yeah, um, stuff. I might start reading Candide now. Or I could procrasinate. Whatever.
