Friday night: Whitlams concert at the Zoo with Kate Miller-Heidke as support act. Chris likes her music. Another of the new things we have in common as a couple. Joy! Chris bought her latest ep, I bought her t-shirt.
Saturday night: Lachlan's sort-of-welcome-home dinner at Ahmets. Dear god that place is good. Seriously, just eat there one day. Afterwards, we went to Cold Rock for dessert. Lachlan gave us gifts - a Canadian cent and a Toronto Maple Leafs' 'mascot' - a crazy blue dog puppet/oven-mitt-type-thing. Obviously I have issues - shouldn't it be Leaves not Leafs, or is the latter the Canadian spelling?
Lara and I also got birds :D This is mine. I'll leave her to tell you which one she got :) Mine does not look like the one in the picture. Rather, its beak is upturned (squished in suitcase) and its hair is longer. But I adore him anyway. Now all I have to do is think of a name for him...
