Кеннан - об эмигрантах и их мнении о России
Поскольку много людей пришло и прочитало прошлый пост про Кеннана - ещё цитата из него:

У нее не было мощной эмиграции из настоящих русских - и нет настоящей русской диаспоры. Те, кто за рубежом пишет о России - на 90% выходцы из неё (или их дети), устроившиеся на Западе, но кто угодно, кроме русских. Это люди еврейского, польского, немецко-прибалтийского или другого околорусского - но не русского - происхождения. Как правило, если они и не ненавидят Россию, то сильно её не любят, и хотят, чтобы остальные на Западе разделяли их чувства."
Poor old Russia. Having had no sufficient emigration of real Russians, it
has no real Russian diaspora. The people abroad who write about it for
publication are surely 90% people who came from Russia (or whose parents
did) and established themselves in the West, but who are everything else but
true Russians. They are people of Jewish, Polish, German-Baltic, or other
kinds of near Russian but not of Russian, origin. Generally speaking, if they
don’t hate Russia, they strongly dislike it, and want the remainder of
Western opinion to share their feelings. I am one of the very few American
WASPs who have any great interest in that country and would like to see it
fairly treated.
