Long-delayed Update -- now with 50% more delay!
So this is the brief story of what's been happening in Gabriel-land over the past couple months:
1) I got accepted to grad school at University of Maryland. With a full ride + stipend. I was due to start in the Spring, but now, for many reasons, I'm considering deferring until the Fall of 08. Why?
Money, mostly. The chance to save more for living expenses would be nice. Also, there would be a definite benefit to starting with the main graduate cohort, rather than being the Odd-Man-Out (tm). I've done that, gotten the whole fucking wardrobe. Bring on the normalicy!
2) Life up in the "Greater DC Metropolitan Area" is good, not great. I think most people up here needs to take a major chill pill and maybe schedule more relax time, because I swear, people my age are taking years off their life by driving themselves into the dirt, and hating the process. BTW, Jeff -- I didn't intend this towards you, but it seems a little applicable. I hope you'll be able to schedule those Fridays off next semester, because you are fucking killing yourself, Amigo.
2b) I don't believe there is even 1 good sub shop in the DC area. Not 1. They should import people from New Jersey for that express purpose.
