There was Super Junior, then there was 13

Leeteuk remembers clearly the day they said good bye. To each other. To their dreams. The tears and everyone going their separate ways. He remembers the mass packing and the vacancy of the apartment they once shared. Empty rooms reflected the empty hearts that left it without looking back. Donghae, who'd always missed home, found himself hesitating, not wanting to leave the family they'd been all these years. heechul shooed him off bravely hiding the tears in his eyes as Donghae waved goodbye to them.

The older members decided that shipping off the youngest first would be a good idea. Kyuhyun, for the first time, threw a tantrum. He cried and screamed, gripping tightly against Sungmin's waist. "Hyung! I don't want to leave. Why are we giving up?" His outburst brought on another wave of tears from the other members as they pulled the magnae into their last group hug. Next was Ryeowook. Calm, shy, adorable Ryeowook. "Thank you all for the last 6 years." And he was gone. Yesung took it hard and left with wave, not able to stay without his side of the group.

Kibum gave a low bow, pulling each of his hyungs into a hug before boarding the cab to the airport. Shindong soon followed, handing Sungmin his stash of chocolate and walking down the street like it wasn't the last time he might see his friends. Leeteuk's heart was ripped to shreds as each member left, leaving his gaze for the last time. He couldn't help but feel proud of how much they'd all grown. Eunhyuk sighed, looking at all the remaining members. "This really is the end isn't it?"

A bus came rolling in, taking away a fine mature gentleman that was once theirs. giving Leeteuk a hug and a very exaggerated wave goodbye, he too seemed nothing more than a memory. Leeteuk wasn't sure where each one of his members were now but he couldn't feel any more apart from them. While watching Eunhyuk pull all his belongings into his mom's van, Leeteuk addressed kangin, who was standing directly behind him. "You should have left with Shindong at first, you know?" He conveniently left out the ending. "it would've hurt me less if you had." Just as kangin responded by gripping his hand tightly. They tried to wave Eunhyuk off with a smile for they knew he'd cry the hardest when he's gone. When he's remembering. Sungmin sighed, knowing full well that the four that were left wanted a little time alone. "Hyung-deul, I love you." He gave them all a sad pout and waved the stuffed bunny's arm instead of his own. Sungmin never wanted to say good bye to all these wonderful people.

Not really wanting to look behind him at the person he cherished most, Leeteuk looked straight forward watching Hankyung look at his watch every couple of seconds, waiting for the cab. Heechuul, standing close to him, tugged on the hem of his shirt in a show of cuteness no one had ever seen from him. "Rella?" "Hannie, Kajima. Don't leave me here in Korea where I have no one to live for."Hankyung spun around to look at him, torn from the cab that was pulling in, to Heechul, who was now close to tears. "But. . " "Fine you know what? Leave then. Take everything of mine with you. I don't want you if you don't want me." Heechul turned around, not looking at him. "Hyung, come with me. You've showed me Korea. Let me show you China." With one arm wrapped around Hankyung's and the other waving hysterically at the ones left behind, Heechul smiled.

Silence rolled over the two who were now alone. Desolate. Leeteuk turned around to face Kangin for the first time that day only to find tears streaming down his face. "it's over, isn't it hyung?" Leeteuk sighed, knowing exactly what he was talking about. He wasn't talking about the band. He was talking about them. The them that everyone wanted to have happened but never knowing if it really did. It happened. it did. Leeteuk pulled kangin to him in their last hug. "Yes. it is. we don't have an excuse to be that way anymore Yongwoon." Kangin nodded and started to leave. "I'll always love you, hyung."

Leeteuk found himself alone for the first time in years. No sounds of glass breaking. No sounds of video games or stomping feet. Yet somehow, he felt so empty. Where could he go now? He found he didn't care where he was going, where he'd sleep, eat, live. because they wouldn't be there. He remembers a familiar van rolling by and taking him with his belongings with it. Doors open and three familiar people pulled him into a reassuring hug. His father whispered "there will be other dreams" into his ear as they pulled him into the house.

Yet that night, Leeteuk dreamed of blinding lights, the roar of a crowd, the sweat glistening on 13 bodies and a large smile on each of their faces. knowing it would never happen again.
