Leeteuk awoke and found himself in a much larger room than he remembered. "What time is it?" The loud buzzing of the alarm clock cut through his mind and his hand automatically went to the snooze button. His eyes widened at the small chubby fingers that he now possessed in place of long slender hands that were once there. "What's going on?" His now large eyes grew wider. "My voice!" He jumped off the bed to the bathroom only to find he couldn't reach the sink. "dammit!" sneaking into Kangin's room next to his, he shook him awake. "Yah! Kangin! Wake up!" The whole dorm soon was jolted awake by a loud girl-ish wail.
After much explaining and proof, Leeteuk finally convinced Kangin he really was the leader of their band. "wow, leader-shi, not even four feet tall and already on top of the world." Leeteuk pulled on the hem of Kangin's shirt. "can you get me my toothbrush?" Kangin laughed taking leeteuk by the hand and guiding him back to his own room. "I'm not really a 5 year old you know?" "keep thinking that. Well. Since you look like you're 5, I can't keep calling you leader-shi. I guess I'll just call you teukie." handing Leeteuk a hand mirror, he giggled amusedly as the child's eyes now widened in what Kangin thought was an adorable way. "I-i What am i going to do? I look like a child! How am I going to manage everyone now?" The small child broke into tears. "I-i don't even know why I'm crying!"
The opened door was soon occupied by a few confused life forms. "Kangin, does Leader-shi know you kidnapped a small child and is now holding him hostage in his room?" Donghae piped up. "What did you do? You even made the little kid cry!" Sungmin stepped into the room and patted the child on the head. "Kangin burst out laughing while Kibum, silent until now, finally spoke up. "Where is leader-shi anyways?" "oh, he's. . . around." The small child now gave Kangin a patented "I-may-be-smaller-than-you-but-if-you-treat-me-this-way-when-I-get-big-I'll-slaughter-you" glare. "I'm leeteuk." The three boys looked at each other and laughed. "I'm serious! I know secrets about each one of you." Sungmin raised an eyebrow at him." Like what?" "Like how you don't actually like pink." The other three looked at Sungmin with wide eyes but mini Leeteuk just kept listing off items. "and how Kangin likes it when people pat his cheek and how Kibum can be sleeping but still conscious and how Donghae puts sweet radish with his pancakes." "Oh my lord, he really is Leader-shi"
After getting over the initial shock, they decided to get some food then parade him around the other dorm. Shindong, who'd been sleeping when all this happened, snuggled up to the kid when he first laid eyes on him saying things like "aw, he's so soft." and "can we keep him?" until Kangin rescued the now traumatized Leeteuk from his grasp. "Do you want cereal or whatever Sungmin is cooking?" Leeteuk looked at the danhobak on the counter to the cereal on top of the fridge. "can't I make my own?" "teukie, stoves are dangerous to small children. Besides, you can't cook even if you were normal sized, what makes you think you can cook now?" All he got was a pinch and a loud wail. In response to that wail, Sungmin came running, grabbing the child off Kangin's lap and hitting Kangin on the head. "What do you think you're doing? This is a small innocent child!" Sungmin snugged up to Leeteuk until he stopped crying and Kangin just snorted. "well that 'innocent kid' is actually your hyung so what are you doing snuggling him?" Sungmin put the child down in horror. "I'm so sorry Leeteuk-hyung, I forgot." Leeteuk shot Sungmin a dimpled smile before wrinkling his nose. "your danhobak is burning."
After the 5 members were fed and everything was explained to Siwon who had just come back from church, they were on their way to the other dorm. Heechul answered the door with a well practiced "what the hell do you want?" Leeteuk walked up to Heechul and waved. "Morning, Rella!" Heechul looked back at everyone standing in his doorway to the obviously mini Leeteuk and fell backwards, pretending to faint.
Ryeowook shuffled out to see what the commotion was and finds a small child trying to break Kangin and Heechul out of a fight. "Who are you?" "Leeteuk." was the short reply he got before one of Kangin's not so well aimed punches caught Leeteuk on the cheek and sent him spiraling to the floor. The whole room grew silent and Leeteuk picked himself off the ground, stunned. Kangin picked him up without a word and took him to the bathroom to clean him up. Before anyone could follow, he slammed the bathroom door in their faces. Kneeling down beside Leeteuk, he caressed the bruising cheek softly. "I'm sorry, teukie, are you hurt?" " I'm not a real 5 year old, Kangin, I'm fine." Leeteuk tried to scoot away from kangin who was now leaning closer. "Your cheek is swelling." Leeteuk's inner turmoils on where Kangin stood in his heart was obviously ignored when Kangin started wiping his cheek down with cold water.
Walking out of the bathroom, Leeteuk noted that everyone was staring intently at him. Giving them a well practiced smile, he sat down. Yesung, who was about to leave for his gig, did a double take, staring at the child before muttering "must get more coffee." Kyuhyun and Kibum did a good job being the leaders that day, with Kyuhyun ordering everyone around and Kibum enforcing it. giving them appreciated glances, leeteuk finished a game of "The lion's sheep" with Eunhyuk.
The rest of the day passed quickly as all the members spoiled their previously older hyung, giving him snacks and playing with him. By the end of it all, it was all Leeteuk could do not to fall asleep. In the car back to their own dorm, Manager-hyung said he'd give Leeteuk a few days off to see how it goes and if he was still a child in a month, He'll have to quit. "Q-quit?" Kangin sat up abruptly in anger. "That's incredibly unreasonable!" But being shot down by their manager brought Kangin back into his place. Patting Kangin on the lap shyly, leeteuk was pulled into Kangin's arms.
Kangin stared at the small child in his arms, unable to believe that this was really the man he loved just a day ago. He tucked mini Teukie into his bed, crawling in next to him. "Kangin-ah?" "aren't you asleep?" "I'm scared." "did manager-hyung scare you?" "No. I'm scared of leaving everyone. I'm scared of not turning back." Kangin pulled Leeteuk into a soft hug, giving the child's face a red hue. "I'm right here, I won't let them take you away." Leeteuk smiled at Kangin's antics and with a single glance into his eyes, he knew where they stood. "What if I don't grow back? What if I have to grow up all over again? I don't want to go through puberty again. What will be changed? What won't be changed?" Kangin gripped Leeteuk to him tighter, whispering into his ear. "I'll still love you."
The next morning, Leeteuk was woken up by his alarm clock and set a quick smack to the snooze button. A groaning to his right reminded Leeteuk of the confession the night before. He got off the bed, opening the door to the bathroom. A cup was dropped and a couple of members came running. "Leader-shi, what's wrong?" "I'm back!" Donghae gave a confused look. "When did you leave? did yesterday's dance practice get to you, hyung?" Leeteuk dismissed donghae and walked back into his room, finding Kangin still laying peacefully in his bed. "what a shame it didn't really happen." He thought to himself. "Yah! kangin! what are you doing in my bed?" Kangin groaned, rubbing his eyes and looking up at Leeteuk questioningly. "Sleeping?" "c'mon, get up" Kangin nodded and swung his legs over the side of the bed. Before Leeteuk could protest, he found himself in a gentle embrace against a strong chest. two words were whispered into his ears before kangin's lips crushed against his in a sweet invigorating kiss. "I remember."
