What I did this summer...
Wow, I can't believe it's September already.
Been keeping busy over the past few weeks. Helped Jess, Cy, Nick, Ceida, Grant, and Feng move. Went out to Sean's lake house with the work guys; it's so beautiful out there. Used our kitchen appliances to try out some new recipes (coffee cake, jalapeno cheddar bread, braised lamb). Played around with Ruby/Rails.
Jen also bought me Nintendogs. Actually, she bought it for herself - I was able to convince her to take care of the first puppy, and she made enough money in competitions to buy me a new puppy. Now we have Peanut the beagle and Pi the golden retriever. The animation and behavior of the puppies is quite impressive. For the past 1/2 hour they have been entertaining themselves with a bouncy rubber mushroom.

Been following the Katrina news - the destruction looks absolutely mind-boggling. My cousin and her family live in Metairie, LA, and knowing someone who is in the midst of the chaos makes it that much more real.
