[Filtered to Brave Vesperia]Hey, Brave Vesperia members- Zack here. I know that Estelle talked about disbanding the guild, but I think there's still a need for what we were here to do for the village. Karol left us all betters, and I got the feeling that disbanding isn't what he would've wanted. Maybe I'm wrong, but... it just doesn't feel like it ( Read more... )

to save a guild, voice, brave vesperia stuff, next time leave instructions guys, action, good spirits

What is it?

[ Lightning, that's not how you're supposed to-- oh well. ]

[....Oh, Light.]

You don't get many surprises, do you?

[ -- Oh, well, she's definitely kind of frowning to herself now. Sure, she gets lots of surprises! They just... tend to be ones that involve... like, a trap door springing open to reveal a giant robot to fight when she's already tired and hasn't eaten in two days. Or her friends being kidnapped. Or-- yeah. ]

... Not really. [ She's pretty skilled in the art of sounding at once dry-toned and apologetic though, right? There's a quiet sigh, but then- ] Should I bring my gunblade?

Haha, nah, you don't need the gunblade. Just bring yourself!

[And hopefully a sense of indulgence because this could go well or badly depending on her mood, really.]

[ No weapon? Butbutbut-- ]

Alright... just give me a few minutes.

[ Despite that little snag, at least she sounds like she's in a fairly good mood? Now it's just keeping her curiosity down to a respectable level as she puts on a jacket with sleeves for once and then heads over to the battle dome as asked.

Still, it's probably a little obvious anyway when she makes her appearance, running a hand through her hair as she looks for him. ]

[Oh he's just tickled! And he himself isn't exactly dressed up, but it's not his SOLDIER uniform, either. Actually, he's trussed up in a nice set of new duds that attempts to echo the advice he'd gotten from Guy many months ago about looking good in casual wear- a loose-fitted dress shirt and a nice pair of light khakis.

He's also waiting for her at the center area of the dome, keeping an eye out, and he lifts a hand to greet her as he catches sight of her at the entrance.]

Hey, Light! Over here!

[ For a second, Lightning very nearly doesn't recognize Zack like that-- not that she's complaining! But it's different. A bluntly honest girl like her isn't afraid to not hide the fact that she's staring, either; she crosses her arms as she draws closer, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. ]

Well.

Well? What do you think, is it an improvement?

[See this awesome hopeful grin? Doesn't it make you want to kiss him? ...Or punch him, that's been known to happen too. He's aiming for at least some approval. And speaking of approval, she looks pretty good herself. (Then again she always does.)]

[ -- Gosh Zack, stop being so damn cute before you... you go and ruin Lightning's well-earned stoic soldier-girl image forever! >:|

In other words, no, she's not gonna kiss him in the middle of the battle dome, geez, but what she will do is tilt her head with a smug look, briefly reaching out to give a light tug to the front of his new shirt. ]

A little bit. [ Then again, she sobers as she looks up at him, serious to cue in her honesty. ] You look... nice.

[Almost physical contact! Not bad, not bad. Even if it's only "a little bit" he ducks a bit and rests his hands behind his head, looking for all the world like she'd just called him a dashing gentleman. Awww yeah.]

Well I'm not gonna mince words, you look great. Are you ready for an afternoon of non-violent fun for once?

[ Wait but this is how she always lo-- ooohhh. Well, hopefully she'll keep getting better at this eventually, because for now her face is more or less blank, looking a whole lot like she's not sure whether she wants to keep smiling or not.

She ain't mad tho, and with luck the fact that she isn't balking is enough to show it. That and her continuing curiosity here, lacking the wary suspicion that most would typically be receiving at this point. ]

What were you thinking of doing?

I thought I'd give you a taste of some modern Midgar culture. Because nothing says "vacation" like going to a new world, right? Even if it's only for an hour or two.

[Closer to two, though. What he's looking forward to can be kind of... special. He leads the way to one of the consoles, already set up and ready to go at the push of a button. Which he pushes, before offering out an arm with a grin.]

Shall we?

[ Midgar? After the descriptions here and there she's heard of the place... huh. Yeah, she's not sure what to think or expect, buuut... though those long lashes make even that slight widening of her eyes pretty obvious, she follows along without any major protests like trying to break his face or whatever. It's quicker to see what he means rather than that or to keep asking questions, anyway. ]

Alright.

[ And then she gives him a wry look and a light punch in the arm, shifting her weight. Still not a prancy princess over here, ffff. ]

[Oh well, it was worth a try. Shrugging it off, he leads the way into the dome chamber, which has been transformed into the bustling, lamp-lit streets of Loveless Avenue. Besides Aerith's church or house, it's the nicest place in Midgar to be. There's a surprising energy to the area, with booths, shops, displays, and down the street, a cozy little theater and playhouse.]

Welcome to Midgar, Light!

-- Ah.

[ So yeah, just excuse Lightning's lack of attention for a minute, because she's definitely busy looking around as soon as she's through the door into the simulation. Totally new world, indeed; not even the diversity of Cocoon cities or getting thrown into Luceti really dulls how different it all is from what she's used to. ]

So this is what it looks like...

[Zack gives her that moment, letting it all sink in before he steps forward again, pointing down the road.]

If we were in the real Midgar, I could take you that way, where the Shinra building is. It's pretty amazing- we had holographic combat training, sort of
like how the battle dome is in Luceti. And the whole place is 70 floors high!
