Iowa
on saturday i went to iowa to see the band it was just for you, that lightshow the drive there was pretty cool, as the only time i've been out of the minnesota before was to go to WI. the sunset and sunrise in iowa was beautiful, all you can see are black shapes against the endless colored sky.
seeing mat was wonderful, it made all the frusteration of the distance dissolve. i got to sleep next to him for a few hours, which was comforting and a little odd, sleeping in a room with a bunch of people.
the band was good, not their best show, but it was still great to see it. the other band, enon, kinda reminded me a bit of the faint and a bit of mindless self indulgence. the show kind of reminded me of battle of the bands, in the high school lunchroom, but with everyone drunk. all in all, it was a good experiance. i slept almost the whole way home, staying awake long enough to see the sunrise.
