(no subject)
Well, originally I was planning on posting about how busy my weekend was, but now..... Not so much.
Val's in the hospital. She was sick on Monday night and Tuesday during the day, but by Tuesday night she seemed to be getting better, or so we thought. Either way, on Tuesday morning we visited the pediatrician, and followed his instructions on what to do with her. By the time we put her down for bed that night, she seemed fine, feeling better even. Until this morning.. She was very pale, and floppy like a rag doll, completely limp. Her eyes were open, but she wouldn't focus on anything at all. I called my mom so someone would be with Julian, and then called 911. She was taken to the Alexian Brothers ER, and later transferred and admitted into the PICU at St. Alexius. We're still there now. They don't know what's wrong with her. I mean, the crash in the end was pretty obviously because of the MCAD, but they're trying to figure out why she was so sick in the first place, and so far have been drawing a blank. It's not influenza or meningitis. They're thinking maybe a respiratory infection of some sort? They're going to check her for H1N1 later tonight, and in the morning, they're checking her heart.
I don't know how long we'll be here, hopefully only a couple days, but I'm expecting 3 minimum. I've called in sick at work for right now, and called HR to arrange an LOA. My mom will be picking up the paperwork for me some time tomorrow.
