First Lines Meme
First lines meme, which I picked up from and pencildragon11 and snacky. Which I put together almost two weeks ago in the midst of procrastinating on exams and then completely forgot to actually post until now. Oops.
I actually ended up splitting this into two sections. This is simply because for most of the stories on the freudwithwings account, it's hard to remember who wrote which section.
But first my own stuff!
1. On an evening as cold as this, Jack preferred the indoors.
2. Narnia drifts.
3. The broken end of his blade is sharp enough to cut the tip of his finger, sharp enough that it doesn't even hurt when it slides through the skin.
4. It's the third time Sam's brought him along to this diner.
5. His apartment is lonely when it's only him.
6. Lucy, I must begin by thanking you for the letter and apologizing for not replying sooner.
7. The wind is so cold.
8. The Susan her brothers say goodbye to is not the same Susan who watches their last minutes with tears in her eyes from a distance at the train station.
9. When the Earth apocalypse comes it is not from alien attacks or angel-demon wars.
10. First came the mindless panic.
11. The library falls to an instant hush when the human boy walks in through the door.
12. Susan enters his room at dawn, a ghostly figure in her nightgown and pale robes.
13. The harsh light of the sun reddens as it reaches down to the horizon.
14. On the morning after his return from an adventure like no other, Eustace lay in bed counting days.
15. You are all too aware of your pounding footsteps and pounding headache, beating together in a double-timed rhythm that threatens to cloud your mind completely.

2. Dulles International Airport was crowded and chaotic, and the agents assigned to transport Artemis Fowl had already allowed their attention to lapse several times.
