Distractions
I have a ton of stuff I'm supposed to be working on - fic stuff, I mean - and all that happens is I get distracted by something new and shiny.
For instance, the Irish dance blog I just started up. Although I have been planning on doing that for a while, so it's not much of an excuse, because it didn't take a lot of time to set up, since I'd planned out what it would be about and everything in my mind for ages beforehand.
But - youtube. Oh, youtube. I've developed this sort of love/hate relationship, because there is SO MUCH good stuff to watch there, but of course, one video suddenly turns into THREE HOURS of videos, and suddenly it's time for bed and I haven't written anything after all.
What else has been distracting me? Oh - nothing. That's right. My only distractions for the past week have ALL come from youtube. *headdesk* Well, and schoolwork, but that doesn't exactly count as a distraction since it's necessary for the future of my life in general.
So I thought I'd make a To-Do List of stuff I'm going to work on this weekend - note the absence of anything Youtube.
- Upload Mirrored from my sister's computer onto my laptop and load it onto ff.net.
- Post the last chapter of The Owl, the Wizard, and the Nightgown - which I could actually even do tonight, since it really is saved on this laptop.
- Write a ton more of the Crossover Exchange Fic, since I have it all planned out and have only a month to finish writing.
- Finish the meme responses that I promised to the people who commented. (Under the entry "Because I Meme It")
- Write more of In the Walls of Iathghlas - that's the SCAUverse fic I've been talking about forever. Did I mention I ended up changing the title since it no longer took place in Armadrue? Yeah, that's right - I've revamped it so much that it takes place in a whole different place. *facepalm*
By Aslan, that might take more than the weekend, since obviously there's schoolwork to do, too. Wow. Definitely no more youtube for me for the next while.
