A fresh start...
After going far too long without writing and posting anything productive on LiveJournal, I decided it was time for a change.
Regretfully, real life has taken me and my coauthor on different paths. While in many cases I regret this - we wrote some amazing stories together - in others, I have begun to see this as an opportunity. Our biggest source of contention was how deep to take our stories. I wanted more, deeper, richer - I wanted to create worlds where we invented the details, the culture, the mythos, and more. She wanted to play in worlds already dreamed up, to write fanficiton, because the details had already been worked out for us. Also, because we wrote in a role-playing style, sometimes the emotions we tapped into by becoming our characters got significantly in the way of the plot, granted sometimes to very amusing effect. I am hoping that in writing on my own, I can still write with the same depth of emotion as I have in the past writing wonderful, fun fanfiction and add that to the stories of the characters clamoring for attention in my head.
