I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...
Hee guess what?! My sister called last night - I guess they found out that the party they were going to go to wasn't a nice formal one at all but just a bunch of folks getting together to drink at a bar. So they are all coming after all for the day on Saturday and bringing my mom! So I get my Christmas wish :D (or is it a Christmas hope...since its technically attainable...hmm... *random small group moment*)
I'm so excited!
Last night was a nice relaxing/busy night if a night can be both of those at once. I got some presents wrapped and fixed the baldness at the top of our tree with some garland I bought and it looks really pretty now...although I still think a bow would improve things ;) We ended up finding Robin Hood Men in Tights in the $5 bin at Walmart so we cuddled up and watched that last night in between the baking I was doing. I can't divulge what I made because I'm giving them as gifts but they turned out beautifully. I am so pleased. Here's hoping they taste as good as they look/smelled. I'm going to make some more next week on Friday for more Christmas gifts (and some for us too :) ). I am a little sad to not have time to make Christmas cookies this year. Do you think they can still be called Christmas cookies if I make them the week after Christmas? It just seems wrong not making them...I do it every year...and I really want to make gingerbread men and these jelly cookies my grandma used to make...I could take them to group maybe...hmm.
I'm looking forward to tonight - I'm just going to put up my manger scene and finish wrapping gifts. I usually get back from CompassCare late so that doesn't give me much time for anything else. I could work on my Christmas cards but it depends on how tired I am when I get home...we'll have to see.
I'm going out at lunch today in search of a table cloth cover for my diningroom table because I love my tablecloth but it was my grandmother's so I don't want to get anything on it - but I want it on the table for the party. I hope Target carries them :/
I think my cold is getting better. I felt horrible last night like my throat was closing up it was so swollen (I seriously thought I might have mumps or something) so I prayed for God to heal me before Saturday and I think He heard and is so praise God for that :D
