Title: never (again)
Pairings/Characters: Yewook, kyuwook
Genre: Drama, Fantasy, AU
Rating: R
Summary: A tragedy, in 6000 words; or: Ryeowook's descent into madness.
Notes: Inspired heavily by this doujin, and by the Hyuuga family dynamics in Naruto

This is not a story with a happy ending, nor does it have much of a happy beginning. There is no closure, no reconciliation, perhaps not even an ounce of genuine humanity that can be salvaged from this. )

OH MY GOD, WHAT IS THIS PERFECTION? OH MY GOD, AUTHOR, WHOEVER YOU ARE, WILL YOU PLEASE HAVE MY SOUL?

This was... omg, I really have no words for this, honestly, my mind is whirling and I know there are loads of things I want to say about this and worship it but I'm just - idek how to express it. This is so good. SO GOOD. I'm stunned beyond belief. I swear, reading it halfway I could hardly breathe, I was just reading and reading and this reeled me in, it's like, idek, a dark bottomless pool with tiny pinpoints of light and okay I'm not making anymore sense but THIS FIC HAS REDUCED ME TO SPEECHLESSNESS.

Oh god, nothing I say can do justice to this, nothing, and I can never express how much I loved this. Pure dark brilliance.

this is so... (I think the commenter above put it well) haunting :( it's so hard to strike the right tone of balance between writing a character or characters who are going mad and losing the connection to the reader, but this piece pulls it off. fics like this are making it so hard to choose a vote :(
I was a little afraid when I read the author's note, and wasn't sure if I would need to read the doujin in question or care more about Naruto than I do, to really feel the fic, but this portrayed the whole scenario from beginning to end without leaving me feeling as if I were missing some integral part of the story.

I walked into this story a little skeptical and just. Wow, completely blown away. My voting plans are all messed up now. Just beautiful.
