what a great week for sports
not because of the great finishes and the late game heroics
those happen every day
im talking about the brawls
pierzynski vs. barrett
stewart vs. kenseth (again)
finley vs. terry
this is what makes sports entertaining
because thats all it is: entertainment
the NBA stands for Nothin But Actors (shaq knows it)
its great when, every once in a while, the true animal nature of humans is brought forward
the brawl in chicago is the best thing baseball could hope for
imagine this:a baseball story that doesnt have anything to do with steroids
thank god
and maybe drivers bumping and trading jabs after the race (girlfriends and fiances included) will make nascar appealing to a couple demographics north of tennessee
i really dont like that gatorade commercial that features take me out to the ballgame as accompaniment music to a montage of scenes featuring the US soccer team
