maybe the chamber was made by a nephew or grandchild or something? not very edmund-like.

A guy I knew, but haven't spoken to in years - he was an ex-boyfriend and I was very depressed at the time and didn't treat him as well as he deserved - committed suicide several nights ago. I cried and mourned his loss, but it's difficult to feel sad past that point. I hadn't spoken to him in years, I can barely remember anything about him. I'm sorry for the loss suffered by his parents and friends, and I wish I had been better to him, but I don't feel much past that. I've decided that that's alright, because I really don't know what else to do.

I wrote roughly 1500 words of a Harry Potter/Narnia fic, because really, the Pevensies as the Founders is too good to pass up. I'm not entirely sure if it'll get brought up in the story, but my view on Edmund/Slytherin is going to be this for the background - he didn't think muggleborns should be pressured to attend Hogwarts because many families needed their children to work for added income and support. It wasn't right to tell them that their only choice was to give up their children for most of seven years and give up that added income. Edmund wanted to start small, local schools to teach muggleborns, which of course is a lot more difficult than starting one, large, very well-hidden school. When he eventually left Hogwarts, it was to start on that project. He may have eventually given up and become Merlin, or maybe taught magic to muggleborns in King Arthur's court, I'll have to research dates regarding that.

I'm not sure if goblins were ever decently described in the HP books, I'll have to look that up. If not, or even if so and allowing for wonky evolution, I may be able to get away with saying they're dwarves migrated from Narnia. It would tie in the fantastic smithing work and such.
