Classes I took yesterday:
JAPANESE 201: OhmygodIneedtostudynow. Well, okay, we're given a little time for reviewing, but the way Kishi-sensei teaches, I really need to study. If I can totally grasp everything from last year, I'll have a much better chance of keeping up now.
Psychology of Personality: Actually strikes me as a lot like Sex Psych, except, you know, without the concentration on sex. Random papery things due every once in a while, there's a lot of notes and the teacher is nice.
Psych Stats: I have nooo idea. The first class was a very typical first class. I'll better know after tomorrow, I think.
Jewelry and Enameling: Seems okay. Boring yesterday when she showed slides, but otherwise, it's probably going to be pretty good.
Today is Psych 101. Izzy and Charlie had their SAGES Digital Storytelling class early this morning, and Izzy apparently told Quin about it before she went back to sleep, so I asked Quin about it. She says it sounded really good and that both Charlie and Izzy thought I should take it. I really kind of want to, and the overload limit's been adjusted to 19 this year, so I could, but... the class is full, I'm not willing to drop anything else to give me more time for this, and it's pretty early. I think what I'll do is go with them to their class on Thursday, and if I like it, I'll beg the instructor to give me an override so I can take it.
Still need to find a job~. Applied for the compy lab, so did Quin, Lesser Mike was kind enough to send the lab notes of recommendation for both of us since he worked there last year. He doesn't know if it'll help, but it certainly can't hurt, so. I want to work there, it would be the best job ever!!
The internet is annoyingly hard to keep up with now that I actually live with my rl friends. I mean, not so hard that I won't do it, just mildly annoying. I'll need to mostly do my 'net stuff on weekends, I think.
Next Day, ETA: Psych 101 looks to be okay, decided not to try and take the early class. I actually studied a lot for Japanese last night for today's class. Well, I mean, studied more than usual, which isn't actually too much. I spent half an hour on my homework for Thursday, which I will finish tonight, and half an hour reviewing everything we're going to be going over in class today. We actually get very detailed weekly syllabi, because they encourage you to review before you get into class. I personally did it to avoid looking stupid.
The suite has now watched through season two, episode three of Avatar. Inbetween the one with the hippies and the one inside Omashu, I said to everyone:
Me: Nifty little thing I found out from the website: badger-moles [the original earthbenders] are blind, and 'see' through sensing vibrations.
Everyone Who's Seen Episodes With Toph: Oh, neat.
Charlie: So, Aang's getting taught the best form of earthbending.
Me: The original one, anyway.
Izzy: Wait, wait... Aang's going to be taught earthbending by moles?
XD Yay, Izzy.
