So, I'm learning how to use the overrides for LJ's S1 system! I plan to have a very simple layout with a Valentine's Day theme made and available for use by February. I'm also working on more icons, but I have no idea when I'll actually post those. I'm up to forty-something now. And my animation software died! Stupid 30-day trials. zimboptoo, you're still bringing software for me to install with an animation program, right? Right?
Anyway, the layout isgoing to be extremely pink and red, but I might use it anyway. My current layout colors were chosen very carefully to match the icon I was using at that time, and I haven't changed the colors since. Hell, I've only changed the title and comment links once since then. So if I use a pink layout, forgive me, because I'm going to be very proud of it regardless of the fact that it's pink.
The overrides aren't that difficult to deal with, once you have an example. I mean, I can't write them up myself, but I can edit them easily enough. everything_lj has a lot of geat tutorials for that kind of stuff.
