Personality: Giselle is an extremely kind would-be princess. Having lived in Andalasia, a Disneyesque ideal world, she is considered naive for her extreme kindness by the jaded New York denizens. Her ideas of reality are rather unrealistic, such as being able to call upon little animals to come to her aid. She's kind to the point of intrusive, more than eager to help in any way possible even when uninvited, such as in Robert's love life. And by "any way possible," it does indeed mean that. All problems can be solved by love! In this way, she tends to spiral into wacky hijinks as her "helping," though done in good earnestness and can produce good results, may seem more troublesome than not at the beginning. Her kindness also extends to little animals, of course, as she is overall a kind person to any who need her. After all, her bff is Pip, the funky talking chipmunk. Her supreme kindness may lead to people taking advantage of her, but she is honestly content if she believes that she has done a good deed in somebody's life.
She endorses very good, upstanding morals. Hard work! Love! Cooperation! She is a typical misfit Disney princess out in a world where the upstanding morality is nothing short of unrealistic. However, she is marked distinctly as being able to hold up her own. If her loved ones are in danger, she would take up a sword in times of need. She also embraces the Ever After of the Disney tales, adapting to the daily life of New York pleasantly. She's good with children, and she seems to have had quite a past with the Grimm brother's tales. Likewise, she tends to see the best in all people. She believes in honesty, and thinks that other people would endorse similar ideas. Though she believes in the idealistic romance, she displays courage and tenacity to stick to those same convictions even when the world attempts to shake her into a different reality. She is strong and persistent in many different ways.
She also enjoys designing fashion. She flows easily into boutiques, and makes her own dress out of a curtain and it is rather a nice dress. She sticks true to her roots, though, and her fashion employs the Disneyesque sense of fairy tale and enchantment. But she delights in making people happy, and with her flair of artistry, the fashion industry seems to be the right place for her. Even if she had a little awkwardness with these creditcardthingamajigs, she believes that people are beautiful, inside and out. The simplest little acts of welcoming someone to New York make her happy, even if she misses out on the sarcasm. In fact, the little things in life seem to make her the most joyous, and she isn't afraid to display her delight.
She is inquisitive and bright, eager to question and learn about the big wide world. Though her optimism may hinder her learning about the grittier realities of New York, New York, she manages to steer her way through daily life, survive, and still come out as optimistic as before. Her idea of love stems from the belief that there is true love in the world, and she has a love for all the people. A kiss is the best way to test for comparability, but her ideas of romance grow as she considers dating and other approaches to love as acceptable. Love, for her, is something that is simple and that could cure all problems. Though she later discovers that love can be more complex, such as falling for a divorced man who has a fiancee, she is still sadly optimistic about it all. She is willing to sacrifice her own feelings if it means the other person would be happy, though her idea of true love has adapted to fit into the realms of dating, rather than love at first sight. Overall, though she isn't altogether a sensible person, she does possess strength within herself to persevere with her beliefs of fairy tale endings, and that they do come true.
