Greetings from the Northland! I've been here for about three weeks, and I'm doing rather well, all things considered. I'm midway through a game of Assassins. I'm quite dead at the moment, but my roomy Amanda is one of the three currently surviving players, all of whom are assigned to kill each other, so I'm on the edge of my zombie seat. brains, plz

Model Organisms: It's very...model organism-y. And time consuming. I love the three-hour afternoon lab like I love a hole in my head. That's not very much love, btw.

Shakespeare: OH YES. I love this class. Absolutely adore it. The professor is this proper, prim fellow with the perfect English accent (despite being Irish), and he wears fantastic suits and tells us stories about the old days when MHC was a proper school. <3333 Professor Brownlow. And Shakespeare is always awesome.

Developmental Psychology: Interesting! In theory. Unfortunately, the instructor for this one seems hell bent upon sucking my eternal soul out through the power of boredom. Also, I didn't like the live birth scene in The Miracle of Life the first time around. I didn't need to see it AGAIN, thank you. That movie is birth control in celluloid form, I swear to you.

American Gothic: Ooooh, is this class ever cool. You get to hang around with groovy people, reading Poe and talking about the delicious subtext within. Although, I have to say some of the theories are a little far-fetched. I see a lot of the sexism, but I really don't think that Poe meant for "The Tell Tale Heart" to have anything to do with race. I am seeing it more and more however (O HAI "THE GOLD-BUG". I SEE YOU THERE, WITH YOUR RACISM.) Some of the weirder theories are good for a laugh, though.
"The cat represents his repressed homosexual side! FOR REALSIES."
I don't think so. And if I don't think it's so, it probably isn't.
Auguste Dupin and his nameless Watson figure, however? Totally banging each other. And I didn't even have to suggest that one. My professor did it for me.

Squash: I prefer Legumes, personally. Nice, speedy workout. And I'm getting better, too! My backhand is kind of failtastic at the moment, but we'll work on that.
