Did you eat Niko's jello?

He slept through lunch and I let him. I was very tempted, purely out of morbid curiosity. It had peach slices in it.

Or something that merely looked like peach slices.

It smelled peachy, although I am no wolf and certainly no Caliban. Let us not even consider the possibility of either scenario.

He could use visitors who are not myself when he awakes.

I'll visit as soon as Mercy is settled in. Although I will have to leave for tonight's shift.

How is he doing?

Mercy?

I don't know, honestly. But he is getting treatment, and in the nick of time, and so I would assume his prognosis is decent, for a human. He's young and in excellent health.

I got a visitor from home.

He's barred from work until he's 100%, so hopefully that will be incentive enough to stay put and heal for a while.

A visitor named Mercy who is...?

I don't think he will need the incentive. It is no flu bug.

A very dear friend. And a very good mechanic.

In which case I'm wondering what new festering plague the City's brought upon us now. Seems there's an outreak of fevers.

A mechanic? Is she single?

Fleas, I've heard. Ticks. It's like the 1400s all over again. I hated the 1400s.

Goodfellow I would love to see you try. Make sure you do it where I can watch and laugh.

Fleas. Excuse me, I need to go bathe six times a day.

I would love to try, but I'm not going to support your freaky-deeky voyeurism habit here, or whatever this is. On second thought, I am all about supporting your freaky habits. You be Sid and I'll be Nancy.

I know the feeling.

Mercy can hold her own with two Alpha wolves vying for her. I don't think you stand a chance.

So was yesterday an attempt at fumigation?

Are you seriously suggesting that I am not in every way completely superior to a wolf?

One assumes. One's assumptions are furthermore nearly always correct.

Not mine. And I'd wager not Mercy's either.

I wonder if it worked.

I don't care if their family trees are full of ax murderers who spent their childhood tossing kittens off rooftops. They are still leg-humping animals who cannot hope to hold a candle.
