Glee 2x20: My Thoughts

I’m sorry to say, I’m sort of underwhelmed.

I had... real big expectations for this episode. It didn’t deliver, except for a few scenes:

as much as I want to see Kurtofsky happen, I accept that it probably won’t, and at least Kurt is happy with Blaine. I ship Kurt/Happiness

I wish I could say the same. I'm only okay with Klaine as a 'placeholder' for either Kurtofsky or, 'worst' case scenario, Kum, PucKurt (never gonna happen, I know) or, IDEK, Kurt/Jeremiah, LOL. Seriously, though, pretty much anybody but Blaine as far as endgame is concerned. Because, as much as I obviously love and want Kurt to be happy, he's still a fictional character and I want to be entertained by his romantic adventures, not indefinitely bored to tears by them; which is the effect Klaine has on me, unfortunately.

that is SO what I would do if I had Kurt as a friend. I wish I had a gay best friend XD

While choosing dresses wouldn't be my first pick among things to do with a gay best friend, ITA. I've always wanted a gay friend.

is she trying to get Kurt and Dave together? :)

Awww, that would make me love her even more! But I don't think she's there, yet; if anything because it would entail losing her beard.

I’m glad it didn’t turn out to really be Samcedes, because I would just not get that.

I have to admit I'm intrigued by the possibility of Samcedes - provided Kurt ends up with Dave, I mean - but my verdict is pending because I'm afraid Rachel might have propelled Sam to tell Mercedes she looked beautiful and ask her to dance.

IKR?! Puck and his obvious boy!crush on Sam, LOL cracked me up throughout the whole thing.

- Jar of Hearts was just, ohhhh.

Although I don't ship Finchel at all and, TBCH, I don't like Rachel, I liked how she sang it. Even though I still think it was a glaringly awkward song choice for a prom.

- I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You - yeah, okay. Good song choice for Blaine. NOW BYE.

I really enjoyed the song (I wish I could say the same about Blaine's dance moves while singing it, rotfl!), but yeah, GTFO Blaine. ;-P

Yeah, we've definitely been there, done that, but I guess I managed to enjoy nonetheless because of how subdued Kurt was at Dalton, and I think RIB wanted to re-establish how fierce our bb is in light of that.

there was no way Dave could come out right that moment. And so he gave Kurt shis broken expression and said "I can't," and ran away. It was believable.

IAWTC! Like I said to someone else over @ dlgr_khdigest, it's this kind of slow build-up to Dave's redemption and his gradual character growth that make him stand out among so many 'schizophrenic' characters.

hopefully they'll save Dave's further development for the next episodes

I'm hoping against hope that he'll be in at least 1 of them. I don't want to have to hate what's left of the season, LOL.

Dancing Queen was lovely as the finale :) Mercedes and Santana are really good together.

I think you summed up the reason for the 'Kurt as Prom Queen' plot point very well - because of how subdued Kurt was at Dalton, and I think RIB wanted to re-establish how fierce our bb is in light of that.
