WTF, T-Market?

I hesitate to say, but I think that my Writer's Block on chapter 11 of Everything Else broke today. I think. I wrote 7 pages of it today, and finished my latest notebook! :) It's the pearly-cream and blue ribbon one in this notebooks megapost, I was really proud of it when I made it and I'm sort of sad it's finished. Then again, it ended much sooner than normal because the Hebrew side of it was full of planning for my trip to London last year, so it was already half-full. Tomorrow I will officially start one of the notebooks I got at Notbook the day I started 6B :)

I wonder why I've been Blocked all week long and finally when Thursday morning comes around and I'm having breakfast at a café in Tel-Aviv at 7:30 in the morning, I get unBlocked. It's been this way for two weeks now - whenever I sit at the computer and stare at the file of the latest chapter, nothing comes. But when I'm hungry and enjoying a good cup of java (although, today I had the large cappuccino so the sugar-coffee ratio was off and it didn't taste as good as last week's coffee) and a muffin or a danish - suddenly I'm somehow able to relax and let the words come onto the paper, even though it takes longer and goes slower than typing. It's so weird.

6B was awesome today. We had a lecture on insustrial design and then on graphic design, and both lectures were pure awesome. I'm sort of maybe considering industrial design now that I know better that it's not just about mass-production of factory-made things. I was the first to arrive at the studio with like 3 minutes to spare (which I consider perfect timing) and when our lecturer arrived at persicely 8:30 she was sort of shocked that it was just me. I let her in in on the fact that out of a group of 9 people, we've not been our full lineup even once since the program started a month ago. She said it's unacceptable and I agree; she passed the word on to higher places so I hope this might bring some new people into our class. Maybe mix in some people from other classes who want to re-do some classes? I dunno. Anyway. As usual I just could not shut up during the class, and they weren't really lectures so much as discussions, and because we're a small group it feels even more intimate - but still, I really talk too much. I seem to be the most passionate person in our group - everyone else also talks and asks and contributes to the discussion, but really I think I'm the most opinionated and outspoken of us (all 9 of us lol).

Since this isn't like a real school/university/college where we have to worry about grades and respecting/sucking up to teachers/professors, I'm not overly concerned about my verbal diarrhea (lol sorry, the phrase is just too good to pass up :P ) but I might have to tone it down soon or else all the teachers/lecturers will be like,

A: There's this one girl who just wouldn't shut up when I did their class on perspective -
B: Oh my god, in your class too? I did their class on light and shadow and she just has to say something about everything, doesn't she? *rolls eyes*
C: Yeah, she was that way in the lecture on industrial too.
A: Well I think it's great she's so passionate about the classes. *smile*
C: Yes, it's nice, but seriously, she needs to put a sock in it... *laugh*

Lol. Anyway, after 6B I had sushi for lunch (yum) then walked down south 2K for the T-Market which happens once or twice a year in Tel-Aviv and other cities. A bunch of designers print their things onto T-shirts and they're all one of a kind so no-one can have the same T-shirt as you get and it's really awesome. There are also accessories booths, jewelry, hats, belts, etc. I've always wanted to go but never managed to. Since I was in TA anyway, I decided to pop in after 6B. It's the first day of the event (14-16/4) and it was supposed to open at noon. I get there at 1:15PM, and there's a bunch of people sitting outside (and this year the event is at a club in this rundown garage-shop area where I would normally NOT hang out; thank god it was daylight) and a little A4 sign stuck to the club's fence saying The event will start at 2PM.

My face at this point: >:( Fine, it's just like 45 minutes, and I'd wanted to write some more anyway. So I looked for a place to sit down that didn't have a sewage pipe right next to it, and wrote until 2PM. Then I went back to the club only to discover that a fucking line had formed. Kind of dumb of me not to expect it, and if I'd have shut out the smell of sewage and stayed near the club, I would have caught the line when it was just building up. Well, nevermind. Probably only like a 10 minute wait.

And then I discover that it's just the line to buy tickets. Then you have to wait in line again to actually get into the fucking event. (Tickets are 10NIS, it's nothing, but it's the principle of it!!) So I'm standing there like  -__-"  debating whether I should just call it quits and go home, maybe come again tomorrow after I check the event's Facebook page to make sure it opens on fucking time.

And then. Then, word comes down the line that the event's been pushed back to 4PM. Everyone left at that point. My face: >_____<

Luckily for me, I was pissed enough to march through the thinning crowd to talk to someone in charge and chew them out for being so fucking unprofessional. This isn't their first time doing this event! It's been around for like 5-6 years now! And as it turns out, they'd started handing out free tickets to appease the angry crowd XD So I dropped my pissed act and asked "Just out of curiosity - why do you keep pushing the event back?"

And the person (supposedly) in charge said they hadn't gotten permits from the police in time.

At this point I'm like wtf, T-Market, this is just pathetic.

But whatever. I have a free ticket and I asked if it would be good for tomorrow, too. He said yes and I suggested they update their FB page the moment they get permits so that people will know if they should even try to come tomorrow. Then I left, rolling my eyes.

Seriously, wtf, Israel. I really hate this country.

When I got home, sometime around 3:30PM, they'd updated on their FB page that the event would start at 5. I was laughing by this time. Thank god I'd gone home.

Now, at 6:20PM, they've updated again, saying 7. Now I'm really laughing my ass off. See if I come to their pathetic event tomorrow. They probably won't even get their permits by tomorrow morning XD

ETA: It's 6:50 and they've just posted on FB - the event will not take place today at all.

It's fucking amusing as hell to me that I'm wearing a T-shirt saying "I'm always right" because when it comes to Israeli idiocy and incompetence like what happened today? Yeah, I'm always right. Have I mentioned lately that I hate this country? XD

writing, israel, 6b (design prep program), i need to learn to shut up, wtf, kurtofsky
