Danceswithgary posted the following and challenged those fen who knew people who had or had passed away due to cancer to run her post in their journal.
"I've been fortunate in my family and close friends, my sympathy to all who have been stricken by the disease and its aftermath."
Her next part was "In memory of family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer; and in support of the ones who continue to conquer it!
Finally she wrote "Post this on your LJ if you know someone who has or had cancer. 93% won't copy and paste this. Will you?
I would like to say I survived uterine cancer at the age of 38 and my dearest, closest man in my life, Patrick Paul lost his life to bone cancer at the age of 41. It has been 10 years and I feel I will never truly forget that horrible 3 years. So I stand in memoriam to him and all others who suffer and fear cancer's grip and their absolute strength in surviving afterwards.
