Government House had an open day, and we took the kids.
The dining table set for a formal dinner was not in the least bit impressive, given similar resources I think almost anyone could do better.
All the pictures of kings and queens were impressive. There must have been quite a production line making those things so that every colony's Governor could have their own 7 foot tall King George the Whatevereth.
The people wandering about the place in Victorian era dress were... just sort of there.
It rained while we were waiting in line.
We never did get shown exactly where the police chief in 1862 was murdered.
All in all not a bad day. The best bit of it was that while we were waiting in line we sent the girls running off to look at features in the garden and then report back on them to us. They quite exhausted themselves.
