I really want some different avatars.... I like my current ones but hard to find ones I like...
Anyway, WEB BROWSER APPLICATIONS.
£$%^&*() FIREFOX!!!!
I am really starting to detest Firefox SO much. It used to be really lovable in the past, now it feels like Internet Explorer is more like a saint compared to FF.
I don't know if it's Firefox or Chrome OR my stupid-stupid PC, FF nearly always FREEZE (Not responding) these recent months.
Sometimes Chrome would do the same but NOT all the time.
I suppose it's even worse when I have Photoshop open....
I used to use FF a lot because it was the only one application in the past that would always guarantee my previous sessions would re-open again if accidents occur and make it crash. Now I'm not so sure.
I have two mailboxes I check daily and I use Chrome for one, FF for another one. FF I mainly use LJ, HKorz and deviantart. There used to be more but now it's just being annoying.
I think I'll switch to Opera and see how it goes. If only Opera doesn't have such a complex way to block Flash content, I'm starting to think it's perfect. Speaking of which, does Opera restore sessions if your PC suddenly crashes? At least it works when I exit the program and come back again, it'll definitely restore all contents again. Firefox would just load forever, freeze and then have a script saying it's unresponsive and you may as well force quit it to make it do its own stuff.
Another thing - Flash content. In the past they felt awesome, now I just find them annoying. I don't mind if they are interactive video games or animation and such, but there are plenty of annoying Flash Ads AND stupid Flash webpages that loads forever and ever and is just annoying.
It may be fine if you had a faster broadband, but there really is no need for the overload of interactive content. Some of the Flash stuff are so sore to your eyes (in terms of quality and size) that you'd never want to see again.
Visiting any chinese websites are the worst, you see plenty of flash ads and sometimes you hear moosic in the background and what does that mean? It slows down the performance of your broadband! You get unnecessary extra ugly noise from whichever that page it's supposed to be on and clashes with your own music.
Even Square Enix websites as well, every time I go visit one of their websites regarding their games it's always in FLASH and the content loads forever and ever - that's really bad web design, at least have a HTML version for those that doesn't want to see any Flash content or use dial-up (Thank god I don't need to go near dial-up anymore.)
I can tolerate good websites built in Flash providing if I don't have to wait an eternity for it or at least have a big visible button to turn off your damn music because it's really annoying.
Out of curiosity what browsers does my flist use? =)
PS: Another thing is FF doesn't seem to be able to show itself even though I restored/maximized the browser window, that's another reason why I'm switching.
