Back, alive & well, just sleepy.

Jan 19, 2009 20:09

Hiya all! I've missed you ladies & gents *wonders if there's still any gents on her flist* for a long while <3
Hope you all had a merry xmas & happy new year =)

Firstly, I was back in Ireland on last Monday, and then back in Belfast on Tuesday. And had been trying to adjust due to the oh-so-not-wonderful jet lag (har-har) throughout the week. (I mean, waking up early & going to bed early is not bad. It's a little annoying getting sleepy around 7pm though. And also for feeling sleepy during random times, I am not up to do anything much.)

I am typing this while still having the feeling of wakeness. After this I'll probably in bed, so comments won't be made until maybe tomorrow ^^;;

Anyway, long rant starts here!

Anyway, trip to HK, during in HK & back from HK was ok this time.
Oddly or luckily, mom is quite relaxed during this journey, so I didn't exactly have a hard or bad time with her lol.

Our flights this time were different from usual, on the trip to HK, the plane doesn't leave until 9pm on that day. I only managed to sleep 3hrs out of that 12hrs flight (No idea why), and when we arrive in HK, it was around 5.30pm or so, so I guess you can say I did get a goodnight's sleep on the first day.

I don't remember doing too much stuff throughout the whole trip, since we get sleepily easily due to jet lag. Noticeable things done were visiting that whoever's wedding, turns out my mom had been saying things wrong, it was HER mom's brother's daughter's son's wedding, and it was mom's cousin that had asked us to come
(And I had a funny feeling she doesn't even know who I am anyway) But all in all, no dresses, so yay! XD;;
And mom is quite crazy with her newly bought digital camera, so she is now officially snapping like crazy.

=== BREAK!

I didn't buy too much stuff this time, because Eric demanded to buy a lot of stuff (Without giving me any money and expect mom to pay for him when he SHOULD HAVE the money, but no, he gambled them ALL) and I could only manage to buy very little for Andrew. He only wanted one thing, the rest he said it doesn't matter much, but whatever he wanted most, it wasn't available ^^;

I bought myself FF Dissidia & Eternal Sonata (Or Trusty Bell). I wasn't planning on buying anything at first, since I was planning to buy all of Eric's & Andrew's stuff first to see if they could fit in my luggage before I go set off and buy what I want (But then again I didn't plan on getting anything.)

While buying stuff in HK is cheaper, lately we've come to think it makes no much difference and it is highly dodgy buying stuff in places you are not sure of. The two games I bought I didn't expect to be able to find them since it's IS after Xmas you know.
I haven't tried Dissidia yet. I plan to try it once I finish Trusty Bell (Which I come to love and I think all RPG people would love this ^^)

=== BREATHE!

Anyway, bought those stuff, and the rest of the trip we saw a few friends, I went to church which I enjoyed, and for the last two days we visited grandma (My dad's side) & met all relations on the second last day. (Friday & Saturday)

Actually, there is a reason we were so keen on meeting Grandma this time.
We found out that my younger auntie (My dad is the eldest, then Elder Auntie, Younger Auntie, Youngest Uncle.) herself & her husband has committed something very illegal and are both placed in jail since October 2008.

Auntie is in jail for 6 & 1/2 years, her husband for 4 & 1/2 years. Apparently they had been found out of (What's the proper term? In Chinese, they call it the 'Black Money'.) lying and making more money out of the company's back where Auntie works.

They took the company's money and lied via the company's name to gain their own profit, signing fake contracts and stuff. In short, they lied and squeezed around $290, 000 HK dollars (I'm not sure if that's the correct amount or not, there could an extra zero) out of that company.

It was the same company that sued her (In case you're wondering, her husband as they say, cannot read, so all of the contracts and stuff are signed by her) and her husband since it was the husband that told her to do it. (He also works as a driver for the company or something I think. )

They do not think they're in the wrong and refused to admit they're wrong either, that's why the judgement on them for being in jail that longer is heavier, stricter.
They do have a daughter, we're suspecting she lives a few days during each week in grandma's house (We didn't ask grandma, but we do have a fair idea that she lives there since we were up at her home and mom spotted two toothbrushes 8D;; My grandpas are dead yeah.)

=== BREATHE!

Oh yeah, grandma oddly doesn't want us (Mom, me, Andrew & Eric) to know about this, hence we didn't question her. All sources were from my youngest Uncle's son, who is simply a chatterbox.

Anyway, the daughter lost her job because of her lousy parents and it seems like she won't be able to work at all in HK unless she opens a business up herself. It is published that the daughter is suffering a lot from this (Who doesn't? But then again they say she had a boyfriend that looked after her) but it may not, not be a bad thing for her either since she's not exactly the nicest kind either (All adapted from her parents)

All of this, we all think that grandma is the most pitiful one of all. She's had her hands full with an idiotic eldest son, and now her youngest daughter is in this state. Thank God the youngest Uncle & Eldest Auntie is not that bad (I hope anyway) This is why we wanted to be able to see her at least once on this trip to make sure she's ok. She seems fine, as mom puts it, hopefully she won't think too much of it.

That Auntie & Uncle of mine were never nice people (Exactly like my dad who likes to look down on people and laugh at their misfortunes and never admit they are ever wrong.) It sickens people. I also don't like the idea of them living with my grandma if they ever get out. It's not about giving a second chance, it's this thing that you just knew they won't change for the good.

And the one suffers is my grandma, who's at least 84 years old now I heard. What if she gets older by then? Does she still have to look after them? That's not fair you know?
(Well, long history back, she takes great care of her children, by great care we meant she doesn't question their wrong, accepts them, and well, looks after them as if she's a servant. Doesn't that sound sick? Yeah, she never scold them much, maybe thinking that love will move the hearts of these devils, which this strategy does not fit them and now it's just too late.)

===BREATHE!

But anyway back to the conclusion of my trip, we left on Sunday, our flight from HK to London was at 2.15pm (Yeah lunch time) and this time it was 13 hrs, which I only manage to sleep 4~5 hours. By the time we arrive in London it's 19.30pm or something (Bed! Glorious Bed!) And maybe it's because we haven't had a nice meal ever since from the airport of plane, the dinner that we had at the airport hotel in London was superb (My favourite mushroom soup! I felt like what we've ate before in the planes were worse than processed food LOL).

We had to stay for a night in London because we calculated the last flight to Ireland on that day was around 8pm and since we had to retrieve our luggage and re-check-in again, we figured we don't have the time and might miss our flight, so we decided to stay for one night and leave at the next day evening instead.

You're wondering why we didn't leave in the morning on the next day right? Well, mom wanted to visit Harrods in London, and she just HAD TO go to Chinatown (Oh yeah, that is right. *rolls eyes*) so we went there. Mom bought a shiny purse. I didn't buy anything since there was nothing in particular I wanted, plus the money's not mine and I don't want to waste it either even though mom asked me do I want something at all.
Oh but in Chinatown there's this thing I found amusing, but I didn't buy it. It's called Crystal soil or something, it's like some kind of bubbles, I dunno, they were dry before, you put water in them and they blow up to be well, jelly-ish or something and you put them in pots for plants.... Uh, I just find it amusing since there was a touch me sign and I did touch it. Amusing. No idea why. 8D;;

Anyway, we were quite homesick on this trip (I had been homesick for a few days, mom had been homesick before the last two days.) And the attitude of the people working in HK weren't very nice, this is what I felt during this trip. It's like, just not good. How scared I am of taxis, and the bookstores I used to go... I'm just not happy with them at all.

People are scary and since this time I don't have any companion with me I decided not to go anywhere too late alone (I consider anytime after 2pm to be unsafe over there)

Hence I saw THE HIBIRD CUP, I really want to get it, but the store's never open. Or maybe, it's because I'm always early and it opens quite late. Oh well *shrugs*
They're broadcasting "Pretty Cure" in HK. I did see Naruto once at night, after 11pm or something but was too tired to keep eyes open and look. Eek the voices, EEK.
I'm happy to have seen at least one episode of Yugioh anime though (How easily pleased is Windy? Or maybe not =P)

You know what? It's quite funny to know that KHR seems to be the mainstream throughout the doujinshi shops over there right now (Years ago it had been mainly POT, some HnG) I wonder if someone is trying to adjust what fandom I liked whenever I visit over there LOL.
I also bought SD 14 & 15. Too bad 16 doesn't come out til the end of this month, JP version that is.
I also bought some books regarding bead DIY.... I dunno why.

Anyway that is about that. Oh yeah, don't be too upset over whatever my auntie's issue for me. Personally I am not that shocked but saying I am not surprised a little is a joke too. Auntie was the vice-president of that company, and because of her & especially her husband's greed (She earns around £5000 sterling a month, though that was what she told mom years ago) and still think that things are not enough. Never enough. I don't get it, you can still be happy with the tiniest wealth you can have. Apparently they don't. They own four cars & at least one horse over there. And they're still not happy.

But really, I know this sounds corny, cheesy whatever, but nowadays from what I see, if you did something really bad you WILL get what bad things you did in the end. It's plainly punishment and hope that people will change for the better.
So I hope none of you do anything this extreme or ridiculous! (I pray that none of us and me will be doing any of these similar things!)

=== BREATHE!

Oh yeah, this coming saturday I will be going for my appointment in hospital, the camera thing. Where I'll have to stop eating on Friday, eat medicine to push all toxins out of my body and finally on Saturday before the camera view, pushing this big bottle of something (133ml, you compare it with something =_=;; ) up my ass to clean it further, THEN push whatever camera tube device thing again up my ass to get a proper view.

Eww I know, sorry for being SO graphic XD;; I am not enjoying this you know, I'm trying to humour myself and hoping to get this over and done with =w=;; So sorry for being disturbing T_T

Anyway, I'll comment again tomorrow, meanwhile feel free to listen to this nice song from Eternal Sonata (or "Trusty Bell ~Chopin's Dream~" for the jpn version) The game, especially the graphics and music are lovely. Everything looks colorful & fantastical, some of the music created by the guy called "Frederic Francois Chopin" were re-arranged and thrown in the game. I'm not sure if that is his actual name (It should be) he's a famous music composer back in Beethoven's time I think, I THINK, I'm not good with history!)

This game so far, is actually about him being in his dream... it may sound boring but it's just lovely as it's rumoured he's on his journey to find the song he's looking for inside his dream. Thing is, inside the game he doesn't specify what he's looking for, other than the fact he is very ill and will die soon. I love his costume!!!
*Coughs* anyway, here's a nice, jumpy/sunny song you'll come to love without playing the game =) (The whole OST itself is composed of wonderful soundtracks)

Lemme know if the link works or not =)

Good night!
