Sometimes I think if the government is being too soft. If it was in China, they'll be shot dead rather than be jailed =_=;; Maybe that's a bit too much, but with the amount of people present that would be the punishment to keep them off trouble. (What's more, china has too many people, so dying one or two isn't a bother to them. I don't know if their law has changed or not now though.)
Not just teenagers but adults too. If you have a mental disorder then go see a psychological doctor, that's what they're there for.
And then there's cyber bullying and all that crap and nobody can do anything about it. Sometimes we even wonder what was wrong in the first place.
Oh dear I hope you'll be extra careful then o_o;; I just think it's not worth taking a risk going out so dark and late and then even fake taxi drivers could even lurk around and take you away. That happened to one of my brother's co-workers, lucky she managed to run away when she thought she was going through a tunnel since she's supposed to live in a hotel in london so she can't exactly go through a tunnel I guess. She's very drunk at the time, luck her otherwise she may get it o_O;;;
It's true. Ppl just get away with. When they get caught they get jailed but can appeal for bail and get out early. It's only until something serious happens that they actual take action. *shakes head* Population control, huh. Are parent only allowed 1 child, right?
The problem is, no one keeps an eyes on ppl with mental disorders. They say they haven't taken their medication and it leads to this. =(
Parent and society. We're all responsible in a way. Too bad that some kids would look at bad role models or other kids and think they're cool. =/
Seriously!! O_O That's just scary! I know scary stuff has happened close to where I live. Near abduction (luckily the neighbours scaried the guy off as he was trying to force this woman into his car), stabbing and a woman getting harrassed in a telephone box just a few metres away from our house. @_@
The problem is that the people in here kept ranting about human rights and stuff. I suppose it's better than China, cause I don't think the citizens there have much rights and us female are probably mis-treated as well. I dislike the way that men think woman are weaklings, only God and his son would never think of it that way. But anyway, something has got to be dealt with, the adults & teenagers and even the kids, the problem is that they think it's funny and it's fun that we fear them. A lot of them just have many psychological problems, and lack the courage to face it. This may sound a bit harsh and cruel but I hope the government would be a bit stricter on things like that. If you let them go so easily they'll never learn on the guilt. At least make them do some kind of public service for 6 months or something, such as going and clean rubbish off streets or parks are good. It's good to make them know how horrid it is spitting here and there and littering around the place.
I suppose they look up to bad role models thinking they're cool, and what's important is that people fear them. If they decided to change into some kind of gangster punk, teachers, adults and anyone would fear them. And then comes the problem, they may want to gain some kind of freedom from either their parents or even from normal bullying at school and all. Why do bullying exist in the first place anyway? I think it's overall very stupid. Maybe I sound simple or even foolish but I personally just don't get the idea of bullying. It's got something to do with being popular. Why bother bullying people? Just to gain your own satisfaction or popularity? That's very selfish and nothing to be praised about. I pity the others. Especially those that have done nothing wrong. People backstab each other and do lots of other stupid things. I just find it tiring. ^^;;
OMG that is scary |||| I remember there was a night around 4am in the morning, it was a Sunday morning, 4 girls were probably walking along the path passing our apartment gates, they sounded drunk and all. One girl was especially loud and I thought she was really drunk so I ignored it. Turns out in the end there were what? 5~6 guys that looked like they were trying to rape that loud girl (Actually that girl kept on saying 'Go away' but usually people would think you're drunk and are yelling like that for fun) it sounded a bit distress and really loud and when you start to hear that, apartments of both sides of the road start to look what was happening, and some people came out of my side to scare those people away. They haven't succeeded and they called the poilce in the end. I couldn't see too clearly since I don't have my glasses on and I was really sleepy back then ^^;;
True, true. At least make them do some kind of public service for 6 months or something, such as going and clean rubbish off streets or parks are good. It's good to make them know how horrid it is spitting here and there and littering around the place. I support that idea. XD
Fear and being looked up by your mates. Now it's going to the point where these guys are carrying knives, self defense or bullying has gotten so bad that they had to end it. =( Now there's a potential of getting stabbed in school. @_@
That's the thing that got us all alarmed was the usual urgent and desperate screaming for help. What annoys me is that ppl scream for laughs and that can be pretty confusing. The weird thing was the near abduction event happened in broad daylight! @_@
some people came out of my side to scare those people away. They haven't succeeded and they called the police in the end. It didn't stop them?! O_O Not even a threat to call the police? Then again they were in a group and were probably thinking that they were intimidating. ~_~#
Well it's a good idea is what I think XD (Thanks for the support!) The more they do it, the more they get sick of it and they'll never litter again, it's a wonderful idea and they do it in HK, so why not? XD
Fear and being looked up by your mates. That's what I mean. that is the root of all evil and it's stupid. That sounded like America, only that they use guns instead of knives o_O. Speaking of which, I actually saw a notice by the knives area in Sainsbury the other day (Now you know where I shop XD) and it said that after a certain date people under 18 are not allowed to buy knives o.O;; What a world. That's just scary altogether.
What annoys me is that ppl scream for laughs and that can be pretty confusing. I get what you mean too, that's same for me. It's like, are you acting on high or are you actually being desperate? Daylight! Ok, that's even more scary! o_O *Sprinkles safe dust on maiyeng* I'm gonna have to pray everyday, I'll hate that happening to people I know (Well and anyone I don't know either as well.) I carry a small alarm with me at all times (Well, it was free from the uni campus and I do need it since I'm not the type to scream too loudly ^^;; )
Oh sorry what was I thinking when I was typing this? They did succeed, my apologies ^^;; They had around 5 or 6 thugs/men and there has got to be at least over 20 people from my apartment side, we did score them off ^^;; Though I can understand it's hard for the policemen to do anything since it was really late at night and I doubt any of those thugs dropped anything.
Haha! It is needed! There's just gum everywhere we go! Worse is that they hang out in the park leaving bit of food and junk behind on the floor and park benches. X(
That sounded like America, only that they use guns instead of knives o_O. Exactly! I shop mostly a Morrisons since it's close by. XD after a certain date people under 18 are not allowed to buy knives o.O;; But that doesn't mean they can't get access to one. ^^; Still what a weird place to see a notice like that. But that does make me wonder if teens have been going out to buy knives enough to warrant such a notice. Scary indeed.
I need to carry something with me in case something does happen. Your Uni campus issued you little alarms? That's pretty cool! The only thing I can use for defending myself is my house keys. Scratchy-scratchy! XD;; I wonder where I can get mace...
That is awful! Well, I wish the government would make them do it, if they won't do it properly then get a more heavier punishment. I know it doesn't sound nice but if they're not being nice then why do the government be so?
Dunno, it's possible that some mother didn't have a proper brain and told her kids to go buy them for her. Or the kids just bought it for their own sake. But yeah, as long as you have them in the kitchen kids could get access to them anyway.
Well, I would at least have a handbag that could hit them, though the one I have now doesn't have a zip, just buttons =_=;; But I liked the design so much back then and even now. But yeah they give us alarms last year and this year. Not sure what the guys got. Then again I can get them for free in the students union as well. Hmm... where would you usually get it.... that's a good question I remember asking my brother about it, it's got something to do with safty stuff so probably a car shop or something that sell you those highlight jackets that reflect in the dark - those places?
Course! Got to teach them how to respect public property and the community. *nods*
Hmm. It's depressing to know that kid can resort to violence in order to solve their problems. =/
I don't think my bag has the weight to hurt anyone. XD; *Slips in an Argos catalogue* We had none of that stuff at our Uni. There're camrea, but no outside campus where there has been cases of female students being attacked. ~_~ Guys got nucnchucks! XD (Nah, I kid) Oh yes, those... stores... have no idea what they're specifically called stores... yes.
