So, it seems that today is the wonderful shape5's birthday! Weeell, so what is it that I have in my magical bag of goodies? (Plz do not comment on the wrongness of that last sentence, I am well aware.) It seems to be some fic. Huh, how'd that happen?

Thanks so much to bea_nonymous for the beta, and punkpoet for the read-through.

(Tentatively titled) And I Will Follow. )

Damn... incoherent... no words... *sobs*

Ok, typing this a minute after the above sentence. Seriously, that fic slayed me - haunting, beautiful and you had me crying at "It's still early,". It's just so... normal, and then not because you know they'll all die and... gah! I hate you right now. But I love you. ♥

Yes, how did that happen. I am shocked and stunned.

And now feedback:

It is totally not what I expected but still perfect in every way. The love, the characterization, the love, the realness, the love... Also, the lack of run-ons :D

*loves more than words can say*

Also, it is okay that I had to imagine the good hair bit ;))

I like this, the mundane aspects of something huge. Reminds me of a Ray Bradbury story I once read.

I can't remember the title. But it was one of his shorts, about the whole population knowing that the world was going to end, and carrying on as usual, keeping the knowledge from the kids with a nudge and a wink, and going to bed at the usual time. Exiting the world with no regrets.

Wow. Just wow.

This is unlike anything I've ever read, but it is perfect and it made me shiver. I love it.
