Killer Migraine today so once again no work for me
However I got a phone call at 10am from my section supervisor saying that they don't wanna get rid of me, but because of my FMA assessment the doctor stated the travelling to and from Exeter wouldn't help my headaches get better and obviously I'm not use to section 5 sick that they have found a vacancy in section 3 in Plymouth and would I be happy to move?
Plus sides = more money as I'll only spend a tank a month of fuel saving me about £120, more mates who live near me and I get 2 hours less travelling everyday!
Downsides = leaving Kris (we get on really well) and missing my section, plus Exeter control is nicer and I have to learn new call signs and codes! (but again once settled in it wont be a problem)
So I'm happy that I wont be driving a million miles everyday but I'm sad as I feel I've let section 5 down by a) being sick all the time and b) leaving them.
I suppose these things cant be helped. I'm on attachment tomorrow with an Officer from Charles Cross and then I have two late turns with my section before 4 days off and starting with Section 3. It'll be all nerves and like having your first day back at school again.
happy,
work,
nerves,
police,
deflated
