Appearance: Ellie is a race car driver in a moderately distant future. She is tall and has a head of springy, red hair and sharp green eyes. She is strong and has a formidable appearance as she likes to stay in shape. She is often dressed in cutting-edge fashions that are rather eye-catching though not always 'sexy'. Ellie's favorite motif is stars. She will wear anything with stars on it and almost always has some item or accessory that features a star. She also enjoys gloves and boots. Ellie is not the type to always be decked out in full make-up, but she does wear it from time to time.
Personality: Ellie is loud, enthusiastic, and fiery. Her mind is usually occupied by one thing: racing. She is the mechanic for her own vehicle and always has its 7,000 page manual handy. She is often slightly oblivious to the feelings of others as her mind is usually on the future, her next race, or adjusting her car. Ellie has some underlying feelings for Lanza but has lived in denial of this since they met. She will scarcely admit to herself in her own thoughts, much less to him or anyone else. She is willing to sacrifice a lot for her racing career (even the safety of her friends) and doesn't mind stepping on a few feet to get what she wants or needs. She may accidentally step on the wrong feet from time to time, but Lanza usually knows what to do in this case. Usually. Ellie's full name is Eleanor but she has been known to hit people who call her that.
More info: The setting is in the future. When I picture the type of racing Ellie does, I imagine something not too different from F-zero or possibly the Speed Racer movie. Wild tracks built for very high speed vehicles. Many of these tracks are part of illegal operations set up on space stations (unless they are sponsored events, which Ellie rarely qualifies for). One of her main goals is to acquire a sponsor, but time and time again she has failed to impress those who are willing to look at her. Often she is sabotaged, or something breaks off of her car-- but Ellie is certain she has the skill! Lanza sort of goes on faith about this matter...
