Considering the architectural impossibilities we're talking about here, I didn't think it'd be something I'd heard of. I'm curious as to what kind of building design could play off of that kind of optical illusion, though.
That also didn't really happen. It's a recurring dream I used to have every other night. Considering how dreams are nothing more than what your mind perceives, then having something like the Penrose stairs in them isn't impossible. There aren't any actual physical laws to break in dreams.
The Penrose stairs are an impossible object based on a two-dimensional optical illusion. The illusion is that it looks like a three-dimensional staircase that continuously goes upwards or downwards. Were it actually possible to walk on those stairs, the person would never get any higher - or lower.

Oh, Merlin, that definitely sounds familiar. I didn't realise it had a name other than magic, of course. Or temperamental staircases. All the same, seems like a bloody infuriating dream to keep having, just walking all over stairs like that. Bad enough that they can make you late to class, you know?

[But that's more a thoughtful sort of off-hand comment because she's moving along.]
I never thought a memory of a dream could get on the network, but I suppose anything's possible around here. What're the Penrose stairs?
