[ Funny enough she recalls, but Light's humor is dry and often miss rather than hit, and she doesn't care enough (at all) to point it out, so she moves on. It's nearly audible, the sidelong nature of the glance he would receive. ]

The City chose to replay a scene from one of your dreams.
[ It sounds a lot like how she said 'uh huh' earlier. But there's also a pause here and her own sigh which might as well be a shrug. ]
Either way, nice move.
[ She can appreciate it, having a penchant for throwing douchebag racers out of their cars. It's not the same thing, but the idea is similar: get out. It's pleasantly (?) straightforward. ]

[ He'll settle for that, even if Lightning doesn't completely believe him. ]
Sometimes the staircase's is different. Or the person chasing after me has an AK-47 instead. The situation changes, too. I was staying at a hotel in that dream. Sometimes I'm at work and just trying to get to the next floor. The event always follows through exactly the same, either way.

[ The only curse involving dreams that Light recalls and has found evidence of on the network - and let's face it, it's bizarrely accurate - is the one that involved walking through other people's dreams. Vaguely she recalls Arthur and a wall that suddenly wasn't there, but it's barely there and because it's not all that important to her, she doesn't try to remember it better.
All that considered, she pauses, keeping such thoughts to herself. ]
Weird dream.
[ Because even if she can appreciate tossing a guy off a set of steps that give way, it's still...well, weird, of course. Granted, she's got no room to talk considering what her world would look like to him. ]

[ Not buying it...but then, Light's predisposed to skepticism. ]

[ As dry as ever, of course. ]

Well that would be the easy answer.
But I'm guessing that's not actually it.

Have you ever had a recurring dream? The kind that repeats every night? Or ever other night? It's always the same, except for a few details.

Which details were different that time?

[ He sounds amused, more than anything. ]
